  1. in these days of cell phone number portability, an area code is no longer an indication at all of its owners' origins......it only means they got the phone number while living in that area at some point in their life...... (and I don't really understand your last sentence......sec?)
  2. I don't think the judges should've given it to her......the clever answer for how the question was obviously written was specifically Jack Daniel's (not "whiskey")......
  3. I think we can safely conclude here that, possibly even more than English, Spanish has a wide range of dialects, idioms, usages, and regional differences in language/word use.... in this case, it's very specifically about Mexico's usage of the word and that country's understanding of it.......other Spanish-speaking countries may know the word, but understand it to mean something slightly different and be more, or less, offensive.....in fact, the word may not even be used much except in Mexico???? as a US English-user, I never knew the word "wanker" until I was well into my adult years.....a British couple I met had to explain it to me when we heard somebody say, "the referee is a wanker", while watching some sporting event.....since US English virtually never uses that word, we may never really understand how "strong" (or not) and offensive it is as an insult.......
  4. As always, @not2rowdy , thanks for your quarterly reports. Very helpful.
  5. somewhat off topic....clients wanting - and willing to pay for - an overnighter may want to consider, instead, an all-dayer......meet at 10 or 11am, go have lunch, walk around, mess around, take a short nap, go have some coffee, mess around, go have dinner, walk around, mess around.......then kick him to the curb about 9 or 10pm so you can get a full night's sleep.....all alone....in your own bed......with nobody bothering you with weird sleeping habits.......
  6. fantastic, @Moondance .......thanks for all your great pictures and posts throughout The Gallery
  7. quoted from the article: The problem with the word – “p—” – is simple. It has multiple meanings. It has different connotations for different people. It is innocuous for some, offensive to others, just like so many English words that are taboo. Many belting it out, and claiming it as a Latin American soccer tradition, fit into that first category.
  8. I've written Alex a polite "email" via the RM system to sort out this apparent dilemma!!.....will let you know if I hear back!
  9. I'm now a "patron"......thanks for working on bringing this back......I really like your writing style and practical comments......again, remember, "hands only"!!
  10. as suggested, I'd go with a professional provider who has solid reviews at daddysreviews dot com.......when you zero in on a few dudes, mention them in this thread (with links) and see if we have any comments be honest, but I'd wait until the second text/email to get specific (some providers like a modicum of discretion!).....in the first email or text, just say hi, very briefly describe yourself, mention you're new at this and are looking for a "teacher" of sorts (though some providers may not want to bother with all that seems to entail)......be polite, professional, to-the-point and brief, and don't bombard them with too many contacts...... the tone of their communication will help a lot.....
  11. well, admittedly, the thing two days ago was apparently to just update his daddysreviews listing with a new RM address......there wasn't a new review....... if you meet, please let us know how it goes......
  12. it's not painfully expensive if it doesn't work, but I'm not convinced.....it says it's for indoor use (not on a porch?)......no reviews are in yet.....and it's made "in the Europe" (!)...... do you have a big box fan you can set up out there?.......or would the drone of it be too much??!!......
  13. gee, he was Johny just two days ago when his RM ad was updated at daddys (presumably to Greg??!!)..... https://daddysreviews.com/cruise/2018-06-20/johny_nyc also: https://m4m-forum.org/threads/any-recent-experience-with-johny-in-nj-builtjohnynyc.123765/ https://m4m-forum.org/threads/hey-new-yorkers-411-on-builtjohnynyc.130433/ https://m4m-forum.org/threads/builtjohnnyny.114228/
  14. I'd guess that's a great way to keep the mosquitoes from going near your floor..... when I use the strongest DEET while out backpacking in heavy mosquito country, they hover a few inches from my skin, but that's fine with me.....
  15. mention this forum to gain some validation with him!

mentioning the "top Dallas hotel" before asking for a rate may've suggested to him you have deep pockets.....and did you ask for the moon and the stars when telling him what you wanted?....that may've affected things, too...... otherwise, I'm checking flights to DFW right now!
  17. he's not referring to you......separate, unrelated-to-you, joke.....
  18. ok, I'll start!......while some of his ad pictures are obviously posed, they are not too good to be true.....Vin has worked for years on his body and that, combined with his height, has led to fantastic physical results......many here know him and he is one of the best....what may put him at the true top of the best is the addition of a genuinely friendly personality, a low-key unpretentiousness, and a confident masculinity....... as always, be respectful and polite......smile, have fun, look him in the eye.....
  19. yes, DEET is the best thing, by far......but the OP was concerned about products that he'd feel like he had to shower off his body before bedtime......I've used DEET many time out in the wilds where mosquitoes are a problem and it's great, but is also clammy, stinky, and not fun to go to bed with.......

  21. 25 pages and 492 (well, 493) posts.......
  22. anxiously awaiting a clever proton/neutron/electron joke......
  23. not much of a mosquito problem here in the desert, but Avon Skin-So-Soft (SSS) has been a longtime suggestion for the occasional gnats we get here in the late summer that target, in particular, our ankles......I think, @Tarte Gogo , you may be able to get by without having to shower this stuff off before bed if you go light with it??...... in addition to the original SSS oil, I just now found this SSS product with bug repellent: https://www.avon.com/product/skin-so-soft-bug-guard-plus-picaridin-pump-spray-31314?s=ProductFeeds&c=TMI_feeds&otc=04133310&gclid=COnn9My55tsCFQZVgQodN_gEnw&gclsrc=ds&dclid=CMWd-sy55tsCFQTWZAodFJsC9g and here is a Consumer Reports article about the efficacy of SSS's use as a bug repellent along with other options: https://www.consumerreports.org/insect-repellents/avon-skin-so-soft-review-bug-spray/
