several fast-paced 25-minute episodes covering some piece of recent history....topics range from Fast Food to Genetics to AIDS to Middle East Oil to Plastics to The Rise Of China and more......Netflix describes it as, “infographics and archival footage [that] deliver bite-size history lessons on scientific breakthroughs, social movements and world-changing discoveries.”
admittedly, the sometimes-complicated topics get very, verrry light treatment in the span of 25-or-so minutes, but the episodes are new, not utterly simple-minded, and breezy......fairly sharp observations at times......something easy to watch while you have that post-dinner ice cream......
