I have a rotation of 3 guys locally, but I like to sample if someone of interest comes along.  I also try and sample someone new anytime I travel for work.  I am usually in the LA area so there are a lot of samples to test!

$500 for therapeutic is highway robbery.

@glutes I'd like to disagree with the other poster and any supporters of the comment, that it's "...not a pretty hobby."  I thought that a big part of the reason that we're here is to protect each other from being scammed.  I don't like it getting to be a witch hunt, but I also don't understand protecting bad or suspicious ads and masseurs.  Personally, I posted about a masseur that I had an issue with.  I was pretty surprised at the way I got attacked over it.  It wasn't just me who'd had a bad experience.  There were a few others that I chat with, that have told me the same privately.
Personally, I'd rather know that I should be cautious, or aware, of certain behaviors, or outright reasons to completely avoid someone.

I'm just going to give the poster the benefit of the doubt and assume this was just a delayed April fool's day joke.

If I see someone with 'PNP' on their profile I won't book. When I've asked about this they either refer to Meth, or GHB. The whole "I have PNP in case my clients use, but I don't" is... sus.

I think there’s an excitement in the new - the anxiety, the allure, the not knowing. But I keep going back to familiar providers mostly because 1. the ones who made me feel like they enjoyed it too are top of the roster and 2. some of the new guys pricing has gotten out of whack for me (yesterday a provider quoted $500 for a 50 min strictly therapeutic massage). Sometimes consistency beats excitement.

If it helps at all, he's also on RentMen and has been asked about in the Deli before (by me lol). He's got a lot more reviews there, but also hasn't been online in a month.

That's too bad about it being purely therapeutic, though his rates are on the higher side ($250 for 90 mins) for a fully therapeutic massage. 

This one, in particular, looks different from the rest.  The eyes, the elongated nose, the larger nips, the face generally looks longer and narrower.  It *could* be angles, but he really sticks out from the others.

I once gave a large “tip” after a massage went way beyond what was expected and the masseur seemed offended. He handed all the excess back to me and said rather coldly “I don’t do that for money.”
So I just firmly believe people outside the room should withhold comment and do what works best for them and the people they see. I see people who charge $200 and I pay $200, even though things may go well beyond standard service. But I see them multiple times a month and we have a nice relationship., such as it is. 
I’m no Adonis just getting it because. I’m pushing 60. But I am a regular. I show up on time and clean. I don’t push for anything the masseur doesn’t want to give and understand some days will be different from others. We always laugh a lot. There is never any drama. And I’m generally flexible on time - I don’t demand 6pm on Friday. I cheerfully take a slot that might otherwise be empty for them. I also don’t want to be thought of as a rich guy throwing money around just because I can to get exactly what I want. That’s offensive  
It works me and the folks I see and nothing regarding payment needs to be justified to anyone else. So tip away. I would never discourage that. But understand that there may be some other things just as important or perhaps more important in the transaction and don’t judge what other people do.

I hire a guy to clean my windows three times per year, and he usually lets me blow him before he leaves.  However, whenever I hire an escort for sex, not one escort has offered to clean my windows before he leaves 😢 
So when I want a massage, I hire a masseur, and we usually have sex also because that's the nature of human relationships.  The same with my plumber or HVAC technician:  they come over to do the work I need, and the sex is just a bonus.

I don't have an factual data, but I think cost is a factor. Masseurs tend to be less costly than escorts.

The Ghost Masseur
When in San Diego, I try to go to a particular Chinese place, for a legit full-body.  Typically, I get a younger to middle aged guy, brush cut or flat-top, all fresh-off-the-boat, limited English.  I was in town, stopped by as usual, and I got this very... he looked like a late-30s to early-40s, starting to grey, Chinese surfer dude, complete with slightly wavy, near shoulder-length hair.  Gave me a leg-shaking, up on my knees, all around the hole--including hot breaths and possibly tongue flicks on it, massage.  He was milking me from behind, whispering in my ear, with NO accent, "Is this pressure working for you?", until there was a droplet, when had me get on my back, one hand reaching up to alternately tickle or apply pressure to the crack, while the other delivered the HE.  Asked him for his name at the end, and wrote it down for next time.  I went back about a month later, asked for him, and they had no idea who I was talking about.  I continually asked on the next couple visits, even asking them to look up my history, where they confirmed the name, but no one knew him, although they did have someone by that name at a different location, and they were especially confused when I described him.  One receptionists joked that it may have been another customer on his way out, but she couldn't find any info on the guy.

He’s got some fake pics in his profile. He has one of supposedly his chest in black shorts with a butterfly tattoo on his left arm. That’s not him. It appears some other pics in his profile are of someone else. I’ve talked to him before and he couldn’t or wouldn’t substantiate some of the other stats he claims in his profile. 

Curious about this one as well.  One of the rare westsiders (he shows up currently in Santa Monica).
