  1. About twenty-five years ago, a friend of mine loaned me a series of books from her (deceased) father's collection of 'historical fiction', which he taught for decades at a local college. It was new to me, and I trusted her suggestions when it came to books. I was hooked from the first to the last - and this made me fall in love with historical fiction (especially British historical fiction). The author's name is Anya Seton (1904-1990), the first book is "My Theodosia", published in 1941. The series is 7 books (though she wrote eight, but her last one is not really historical fiction and not very good) and all titles are available on Amazon. Great reading for the summer.

  3. Saw this today - loved it. Anyone who wonders why Culkin picked up the Best Supporting Actor Oscar over Jeremy Strong (who gave a fine performance in 'The Apprentice') just has to watch the last 30 seconds or so of Culkin sitting in the airport - and you will see a great actor's performance. If that doesn't bring tears to your eyes, nothing will. A great surprise to see Jenifer Grey in the movie as 'Marcia', giving such and understated yet important performance. (I thought it was Melissa Rivers, until I saw the credits).
  4. I do that regularly - then when it's nearing the time they planned on returning, I return to their ad and start 'tracking them' like a hurricane moving up the coast. Sometimes we do meet, other times they don't return as planned.
  5. It sounds like you have a plethora of hot guys traveling through your area on a regular basis - consider yourself lucky, because that certainly doesn't happen in my area. The frewuency here is usually every 6-8 weeks (and sometimes there will be three hot guys who are visiting over the same couple of days).
  6. I text them directly through 'What'sApp' - I usually have good luck with that. I find tracking a traveling provider is like tracking a hurricane. Sometimes it hits your location, other times it goes off track and 'out to sea'. The other day, I saw another traveling masseur advertising in a location about an hour away. He's another sexy guy I have texted back and forth, but last time I caught him at the end of his visit here (he was here for three or four days). Anyhow, last time he said he'd be back in my area (Providence) in mid-March. I've been tracking his travel (like a hurricane coming up the coast) to see if he was heading this way in mid-March. So when I saw his New London, CT location on Thursday, I texted him - asking if RI was next. He politely responded back with 'Yes I'm in New London, CT until Sunday morning - should be there on Sunday afternoon, staying until Wednesday, then off to Boston Thursday - Sunday (the 23rd).' I told him I'd text on Sunday morning so we can make arrangements for Sunday night - he responded 'definitely'. (He even asked for some hotel recs, as he doesn't like the hotel he usually books in my area - so I provided him with a few better options, which he was thankful for). I checked his ad again today (sometimes he posts sexy new photos for a few days then takes them down), and now he's in Buffalo, NY. So it sounds like 'this hurricane' turned around and went the opposite way. Hmmmm.
  7. Now in Boston area. Anyone with experience ?
  8. These two guys are now advertising in the RI / MA area. Neither piques my interest, yet I had a feeling they were up to something.
  9. @balinn I feel your pain. There's one particular guy I have had my eye on for nearly a year - he pops up in my city every few months as his 'home location' around 10 am on any given weekday, and when I text him that same day (usually from my lunchbreak at work around 12 noon) he let's me know he's leaving at 11 am the next day. If I can't make that night when he has a couple of appointments open (I never can - I have a very active schedule after work, so I need to plan ahead) or the next morning (I can't - I have to work), I'm out of luck. I've asked him a few times to text me the day before he's headed here or the night before, so I can arrange my schedule to accommodate his travel - he agrees, but never does. He's a sexy guy and polite enough in his texts, but it just doesn't seem to mesh. I find it frustrating that when I go onto Rentmen or Rentmasseur, I'll find a dozen or so ads, and many guys catch my eye. I then click on their ad and they're 'near travel' to my city - anywhere between 50 miles to 300+ miles away. Like you, I'm not able to host and in addition, I have no desire to book a hotel and wait and see if the guy will even show up (or cancel five minutes earlier, as they don't want to leave where they are).
  10. For me, so far this season I've been DVRing a handful of network shows so I can FF through the commercials. Here's what I've stuck with throughout the season, thus far: Abbott Elementary: Each episode continues to surprise me by being able to make me laugh out loud, this far into the series run (fifth season). Every actor has fully developed their character, and Janelle James (as Principal Ava Coleman) is a stand-out. Why hasn't she gotten an Emmy yet ? Added to that, such eye candy (from such talented actors) as Zack Fox (anyone better looking than him on TV?), Tyler James Williams, and Matthew Law - wow. Matlock: I thought I'd give this show a 'try' when it first premiered, and have been hooked ever since. Let's call it now - Kathy Bates will walk away with the Emmy next year. Sure the show has plenty of flaws (I doubt if Emmy voters will take it seriously), and many (if not all) of the characters are written as 'caricatures' (I doubt any supporting player will ever see an Emmy) , but it's fast-paced and engaging. And then there's the gorgeous David Del Rio as 'Billy' at the law firm...if only the writers can figure out a way to get him into a scene without his suit on (preferably in his birthday suit). Elsbeth: Oh, I loved her on 'The Good Wife' and 'The Good Fight'. Couldn't wait for her own show - and Season One didn't disappoint. Season Two....ehhh. Some episodes work, some do not. It's very uneven which I didn't find by the previous two shows from the same creator. I feel like these characters (rather cliched characters) were never fleshed out and the writing is rather lazy. I'll finish off this season, but right now I doubt I'll be tuning into next season. Call the Midwife: I've already watched season 14 on PBS Passport (airs on PBS the end of March) so I won't give away any spoilers. The show does kick off with 1970, which I was 6 years old then. And it does bring back faded memories from 55 years ago (especially some of the clothes). It's one of the better seasons (I think) in recent years, so longtime viewers won't be disappointed. I believe the show has been renewed for two more seasons at this point (which will bring us to 1972).
  11. Ankush Khardori is a DC lawyer and columnist who appears regularly on different cable news shows discussing legal matters. Not sure what team he plays for (my gaydar does ping), I did find out his parents are from India, and he was born in NYC in 1982. Whenever he's on TV, I'm not ashamed to admit he starts giving me a heard-on. Something incredibly sexy about his voice and mannerisms and the way he's dressed. He reminds me a lot of actor Jeremy Strong (especially in the 'looks' department). Anyone have any scoop on him, or anyone else find him sexy ? 12. Bumping - any experience to share ? Also he says this in his ad : I am a male, gym body, trained and a very good defender. Anyone know what he means by being 'a good defender' ?
  13. @BostonGent Good to know ! I had my eye on him (I find him incredibly sexy), but something in my gut tells me to stay away. Glad to hear this from you, and knowing my 'gut feeling' is still working. Thank you for the post.
  14. He's back in my area this week. Has anyone had experience with this sexy guy in the past couple of months ?
  15. The police would have better things to do than investigate what appeared to be a kidnapping ? The healthcare facility is responsible for her and her well-being, period (same with other patients of that facility). She was an admitted patient of the facility, she was not discharged to her niece that day, and the facility took their responsibility seriously, as they would with any other patient. If anything happened to her during her 'time out' of the facility, they would legally be held accountable. Her niece was in violation of the law by removing her without the proper authorization / permission of the facility, putting the facility at risk (as well as the patient), so they rightfully involved the police. It's called kidnapping. Her legal guardian can sue the facility for allowing this kidnapping to happen, and not keeping WW safe and secure on their premises. My dad was on a memory care unit of an ALF the last year of his life. I would be livid (as would be my sister) if we found out that a friend or relative removed him from the facility (no matter their intention) without proper permission or authorization from the facility itself and our knowledge, and they had no idea of his whereabouts for those hours away from the property. Without a second thought, I'd take legal action against the facility for putting him at risk.
  16. I also give two thumbs (and one penis) up for Jose. Love that guy !
  17. Had to read the name a couple of times to get it right. Anyone else first mistaken it as 'Comatose' ? 😄
  18. Can you share more, please ? Or DM me ? Thanks
  19. I'm the odd one out, but I totally disagree on 'your paying for his time'. You are actually paying to the services he offered for his time, to which you both agreed. I have had the same (hot, hunky, sexy) landscaper for over a decade. He comes early every Wednesday to cut my lawn and is here and gone within 30 minutes (I don't have a very large yard, very simple to cut). Then he's on to the next appointment in my neighborhood. He charges $50 for each appointment, so $200 at the end of the month (which is a little pricey for my neighborhood, but he does a decent job and I enjoy 'watching' him work outside). There was one appointment he showed up for in late August, and his lawn mower conked out within five-ten minutes. He had less than a 1/4 of my lawn cut when the mower went. For the next 20 minutes, I watch him in my driveway trying to restart the mower, and trying to fix it. Didn't happen, he throws it on the back of his truck and leaves. No phone call from him about the appointment and if he was going to reschedule, or if he would adjust the price - he left as though nothing happened. A few weeks later, I get my bill for August, and sure enough he charged me the full amount for this particular appointment in which he had mower trouble. WTF ? I deducted the $50 for that week when I wrote out the check, and wrote him a note reminding him that his mower broke less than ten minutes into my appointment, and he had only cut 1/4 of my yard. I told him my check was for $162 - $12 for his time on that particular day, and if he wanted to discuss it further to give me a call or knock on my door at the next appointment. He cashed the check, and I never heard anything else again. There was no way I was paying him for 'his time' at my house trying to fix his mower. Similarly, why would I pay the full amount to a provider if he runs into a problem with his service during my appointment ? There's got to be an 'agreeable amount' somewhere for the two of us.
  20. Absolutely nothing. The provider has set his rate at $300 and should give you a great experience for that price. Why would you tip him for poor service ?
  21. I can't believe he's still in business (I've had a few appointments with him in MA over the past decade or so, since I find his body very attractive, thinking the next one would be better...but no, so I gave up a few years ago). He's a constant name changer, so it's tough to find older reviews. And for the record, I know for a fact he hasn't seen his 'advertised age' in 15 years. 22. I have to say he has one of the better descriptions of what he offers in his 'about me' section. It's clear-cut and very enticing to a first-timer with him. Wish he was in my city !
  23. I'm curious about how traveling providers determine their prices from one location to another. I'm in Providence, and I can't believe the number of travelers (for both escort and massage) who prices themselves right out of the market. For example, many of them visit Boston first, then hit the road and visit Providence for a night or two - yet they charge the same amount as in Boston, even though they are in two completely different markets. Some of my 'regulars' even comment on the world of difference between pricing at Boston hotels vs Providence hotels (under the same brand), as well as the price of take-out food, chain drugstores, etc. As consumers themselves in the two different markets, in which they see the vast difference in consumer pricing, wouldn't that influence them somehow in pricing of their own services ? Just a curious rant.
