This reminds me of a conversation I had a few years ago with a straight friend after his divorce. He was bemoaning the fact that it had always been his wife starting new friendships for the couple and, now that he was single, he found it difficult for a guy to make new friends on his own. We talked about some of my friendships that had started out as sexual hookups and he joked that he should start hooking up with guys as a way to get new friends.

@Jarrod_Uncut, When I read the title of this thread, I interpreted "connecting" as being a non-sexual connection that continued beyond the initial meeting. Then, reading through your post, it seems that you're referring to a sexual connection (ie, a hookup). I'd count myself as one of those men that would "ghost" you after learning that you're actually looking for a hookup or something longer involving sex. I value platonic friendships that can start with a personal, non-sexual connection and have been disappointed when I learn that a potential friend really wants something else.

What is something bad you have done with no regrets?
+ SundayZip replied to + 7829V's topic in The Lounge
As a college Freshman, I had a huge crush on the guy across the hall in my dormitory. He gave me his room key one weekend when he planned to be away and I went into his room and held his used underwear against my face as I masturbated. Took a piss in the portico of an apartment building after looking everywhere for a restroom and my bladder was about to burst. Served homemade lentil soup at a dinner party and forgot that one of my guests had recently become a vegetarian. (The soup is simmered with a smoked ham hock which is removed before the soup is served.) He detected the smokey flavor and asked if there was ham in the soup. I told him, no, the flavor came from a mesquite spice I put in the soup. The list of bad things I've done is endless. -
Anyone investing in this Crypto?
+ SundayZip replied to down_to_business's topic in Personal Finance & Investing
I was initially neutral on cryptocurrency, thinking, if some people want to speculate, why not? But then I started learning about its environmental impact. “The University of Cambridge estimates that Bitcoin alone generates 132.48 terawatt-hours (TWh) annually, which easily surpasses the annual energy usage of Norway at 123 TWh in 2020. The amount of carbon dioxide emitted by this energy usage will vary depending on how that energy was created. But in 2020, the US — where 35.4% of Bitcoin mining takes place since China banned cryptocurrency mining in 2021 — created .85 pounds of carbon dioxide per kWh. This results in nearly 40 billion tons of carbon dioxide produced by US Bitcoin mining alone.” Business Insider March-2022 “The environmental concern comes from the estimated carbon footprint generated by the power plants providing that energy. And it isn’t just mining that uses lots of power—a single Bitcoin transaction is estimated to burn 2,292.5 kilowatt hours of electricity, enough to power a typical US household for over 78 days.” PCMag January-2022 Some cryptocurrencies are investigating ways to reduce energy consumption, but with limited success. If/when the cryptocurrency world can solve the environmental impact problem, I might be on board. -
It seems to me that, when a physician in a state that has legalized "death with dignity" turns away a terminal patient for asking for help, the physician is acting as though they are morally superior to the patient. The physician is also deciding that it's okay for the patient to die a slow, difficult, and potentially painful death. I don't see how this is in the best interest of the patient or improving life.

CompanyOfMen.org - New Domain Name Effective Sunday March 27, 2022
+ SundayZip replied to RadioRob's topic in Site News
New site looks great! But Norton Web Safe blocks it. Norton allows subscribers to dispute this webpage block which I have done. The online dispute form asks for a site content description from a drop-down-list. I selected "Adult Content". There were other options such as Social Networking, Dating, Educational, etc. but I figured Adult Content was pretty close. The automated Norton response said that it could take a couple days for my dispute to be processed. Meanwhile, I disabled the Norton extension on my web browser. -
I thought there were alternative ways to tip your delivery guy. In the tipping protocol video that I watched, the client didn't have any cash on hand so he looked down at the delivery guy's crotch, licked his lips and suggested that he had something better to offer than a cash tip. Geez, purplekow... you need to get with the program!

My submissions: InsideScoop TheScoop InsideStory HaveYouHeard ForHisTime MeatAndPotatoes You can do a domain search on GoDaddy.com to see if your idea is available.

Thanks Mike. You are correct. I just logged into the forum from my phone and see that the search options are not that same as logging in from my PC. Sorry Capthook, any chance you can use a PC to do your search?

I've been able to search within a thread like this, Open the thread you want to search (click on it within the sub-forum listing) Enter a search keyword into the Search window Click on "More Options" (under the "SEARCH IN" drop down list) Click on "This Topic" Click on the search Icon My experience is that search only returns instances of the keyword within that thread.

What Is the Most Difficult Conversation You Had With Yourself?
+ SundayZip replied to + MysticMenace's topic in The Lounge
The hardest conversation with myself? At the Campus in Montreal (pre-pandemic): "Should I take Kovi for a private dance? He's available now and I know he'll have his pants off and his big dick in my face within the first dance. 🤪 Or should I wait for Josh to come back out and then take him for a private? I REALLY want get with Josh 🤩 😍 but Kovi's free now and a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, right?! 🤔 On the other hand, good things come to those who wait. Oh dear, oh dear... I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!" 😬 -
Thanks for the ideas and recommendations (so far)! I'm going from clueless to having some good ideas.

I'm planning to be in London for a week and am looking for hotel recommendations. It may help to narrow options if I list a few of my preferences: Hotel type: Clean, quiet and comfy. Don't need a lot of extra amenities such a workout center, in-house restaurant, room service, etc. Size does not matter (in this case). 😁 Price: There's the adage, "you get what you pay for" and I think there's something to that. I don't need or want The Ritz and certainly don't want to pay those prices. On the other hand, I've looked at a few London budget hotels on travel sites and they make me a bit uneasy. Neighborhood: I'd prefer NOT to be in tourist central. A neighborhood with character that is slightly off the beaten path and has a decent selection of pubs and casual eateries would be great. I'd also like easy access to London highlights via public transportation. Hotel recommendation? Thoughts about neighborhoods?

It's unfortunate that so many people think that "Senior Living Facility" is synomomous with unhappiness. My mother went into a Senior Living Facility a few years ago when it became difficult for her to maintain her house. The place had a full continuum of care, from independent living to nursing care. She started in independent living which meant she had her own one bedroom apartment that she furnished herself. She could choose to use a whole range of services, or not. She could eat in the dining room or cook for herself in her own kitchen. She could hop on a shuttle bus to the grocery store or go on any number of field trips (shopping, movies, theater, concerts, festivals, lectures and more). She could have her hair and nails done at an onsite salon and then go flirt with the single men. She joined a book club and played bridge with new friends. She would reserve one of the community rooms to host potluck dinners for extended family. When she started to develop dementia and mobility issues, she (we) signed her up for additional services. She eventually moved to the assisted living wing of the facility, but by then the place and grounds were her home and the adjustment was fairly easy.

"Studly" actors that you wouldn't look twice at.
+ SundayZip replied to Merboy's topic in The Lounge
I agree about Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise and George Clooney. They do nothing for me. But I do find Ryan Gosling attractive. I also find Joseph Gordon-Levitt attractive but not in a "let me drop to my knees and blow you" sort of way. It's more of a "Lets kiss and cuddle" sort of attraction. -
@RJD, I definitely think you're on to something. Another possibility is that Dennis was naked because he was there for other demonstrations recorded on other videos: how to keep a penis erect while wrapping it in a condom or how to remove a condom containing ejaculate without creating a mess or how to withdraw and oversized penis from a clenched rectum.

What do we know about when and how Montreal clubs will reopen?
+ SundayZip replied to + newatthis's topic in Male Strip Clubs
LOL! I always found it interesting (or maybe myopic??) that so much discussion of anything and everything Canadian -- especially Montreal -- is in the Male Strip Clubs forum. I mean, there is more to Canada than strip clubs (I think 🤔) -
Can't say that I get brewed coffee from a "coffee place" often enough to state a preference... But I'm wondering... am I the only one here who's a weirdo about brewing my own coffee at home? I always grind from coffee beans in the morning using a burr grinder, then brew right after grinding and drink within an hour of brewing (usually from fresh, dark roasted Arabica beans). I've experimented with putting a special mix of minerals in distilled water so the water is not too soft and not too hard (not sure that's worth the extra effort though). Store bought ground coffee from a can tastes bitter in comparison and I need a ton of sweetener to make it palatable. Coffee from good beans that are freshly ground to the correct granularity with the right water is so smooth that it needs very little sweetener.

Are universities the only ones who charge a fee to make a donation?
+ SundayZip replied to a topic in The Lounge
It's unfortunate that the OP's post and his title for the post are misleading, implying that UCLA charges a fee over and above the amount of the donation. As others have replied, there's administrative overhead in managing all charitable funds and UCLA may simply be disclosing the amount of the donation that is directed to administrative overhead. Also possible, UCLA is using an outside organization to manage the charitable donations and the organization takes a fixed percent of donations in payment for its services. This thread caught me like the usual internet click-bait, stating something so unbelievable that I had to click and see for myself. -
David Archuleta Says He's 'Some Form of Bisexual' After Coming Out
+ SundayZip replied to wayout's topic in The Lounge
A few years ago I would have thought that a claim to be bisexual was a stepping stone to admitted being gay but I've since learned that lots of men truly are bisexual. They may be simultaneously attracted to both men and women or they may go through periods of being attracted to one sex more than the other. I will admit to wondering if Archuleta is calling himself bisexual as a stepping stone but I'm also reminding myself that truly bisexual men do exist... and there are lots of them.
