  1. Moderator's Note: This topic was split from one about PrEP and PEP because it is an important discussion but strayed away from the original topic.
  2. I received the first shot in my forearm on September 1. A week later, it looks like a mosquito bite - slightly raised red welt. The nurse mentioned it might itch (like a mosquito bite) but it doesn't. It is just red.
  3. Am I the only one who sees the humor and irony in the notion that "other people being triggered" is, in itself, a trigger worthy of two pages worth of commentary?
  4. I've seen Twitter users get suspended for posting "unacceptable content" and scratch my head because nothing they posted seemed unacceptable. It is possible that someone you messaged objected to receiving a tweet, but if one is posting suggestive pictures of oneself one should expect suggestive messages. Perhaps the problem is with the poetic language you used. Maybe if you said "bro, you DTF?" they would have been more receptive.
  5. Moderator's Note: Just wanted to remind everyone of what @Cooper wrote in his message. Please remain on topic and refrain from making commentary about other members. Thank you
  6. The Los Angeles Times quoted Anne Heche's son as stating she was taken off life support and has died.
  7. Moderator's Note: Please keep the conversation about Anne Heche. Stop commenting about each other's posting practices.
  8. If you took off the "LV" the socks would pass for an Amazon knockoff of the three-pack Dillard's sells in the "old fart" section.
  9. I've had an issue on the mobile app where it doesn't recognize me as a premium member. RM said it is a known issue that they are working to address.
  10. The Los Angeles Times reports that LAPD said "...Heche suffered significant burns and was deemed to be under the influence and acting erratically..." and that due to her condition they had not been able to discuss what had happened. My guess is TMZ's information is dated and hasn't been updated yet or they are full of shit.
  11. His Rentmasseur ad works: https://rentmasseur.com/strongtwohands. Looks like he logged in on 8/5/2022.
  12. I hired him recently and would not repeat. Feel free to PM.
  13. Funny you should say that, @Unicorn, because I've always liked trimmers made by Dutch multinational Philips. They've discontinued my fave - a trimmer w/a vacuum feature. You can find it on Amazon for >$150 or on eBay for around $75.
  14. In Phoenix, people routinely thank the bus driver when they leave the bus. This was even true during the pandemic. On light rail, the driver sits behind a locked door, but passengers will thank the fare inspectors when they happen to be on board. Here in San Francisco, where I have been staying the last week, almost every rider thanks the driver upon leaving the bus.
  15. I haven't used Mrs Meyers' laundry detergent since SC Johnson bought the company that makes it, but I found it did not rinse very well. Even after a few rinse cycles there was still a residue. Seventh Generation is actually pretty good.
  16. I moved to San Diego in 2000 at the age of 36 when I was in great shape. Guys were flaky. When someone would follow through, we'd inevitably compare stories about flakes. Hot young guys complained about flakiness, also. It's a city of flakes!
  17. Taking out a Rentmen ad certainly seems like an expensive way to promote one's Onlyfans account. I probably would not contact the escort, either, as I wouldn't know anything about him or the services he provides.
  18. You've expressed several doubts about going through with this, which makes me think you should trust your gut and say "no." While this will sound coarse, how this affects them is really beside the point. The point is how this will affect you. It sounds like the effect will not be positive.
  19. I lived in San Diego from 2000 to 2016, when my former employer relocated me to Phoenix. I used to call it "Hooterville by the Sea" and "Bland Diego." The weather is truly wonderful and if you like theater, The Old Globe, La Jolla Playhouse, and Moonlight Theater in Vista are the places for you. Other than that, all the culture is split between the yogurt and kombucha cases at VONS. Despite the marine base (which is north of Oceanside, 30+ miles from the city) there is a dearth of cute, reliable men in San Diego. Lots of flakes and guys who can't commit. I found people to be less friendly than in San Francisco and Los Angeles. On the plus side, the traffic is not as bad as in most major cities, but the entire city is built on canyons and mesas, so there is often only one road that goes where you want to go. In terms of where to live, Hillcrest and North Park are the Gayborhoods. Aside from East County (Lakeside, El Cajon, and Santee) almost everywhere in the county is gay friendly. You might not find a gay bar in Otay Mesa, but you will find gay people. If you lived in one of the "urban mesa" communities like Hillcrest, University Heights, Normal Heights, or Talmadge you would be commuting to Chula Vista when everyone else would be commuting from it in the morning and the reverse in the afternoon. There are a lot of cute houses from the 1920's to the 1950's in these communities, but many of them were built prior to the enactment of strict building codes and can turn into money pits. There was a wave of "gut rehabs" in the 2000's that weren't "gut rehabs" at all. They were paint, granite, and stainless steel jobs on old houses. I don't want to say you should turn down the job, but understand you will not be relocating to a real city.
  20. The article @BOZO T CLOWN posted states a representative for Outreach (the company Green was employed by) claimed Green’s termination wasn’t due to the aforementioned videos, but because he shared his confidential employment letter online. “It is against company policy for employees to leak private and confidential information, and grounds for termination,” Andrew Schmitt, Outreach’s vice president of communications, told Reason. “We remain committed to building our culture that finds strength in our diversity, equity and inclusion—and a company where all can succeed.” Frankly, this is ridiculous. If they truly were committed to being a company where all can succeed, they would have taken Green aside and explained 1) the policy against posting confidential memos and 2) their standards of conduct. My guess is this was a knee-jerk reaction. While it is terrible he is out of a job in a strange city, he is better off not working at this place. They sound like a hellhole.
