I did a Google reverse search on his public and private photos. Nothing came up. 😒

No opinion on this matter,  but  glad the question was asked even if misinterpreted.    Made me think about my own approach  and glad I do it.

I don’t understand why you feel the need to explain what happened with another provider. Best case scenario you are telling the new provider that they are a second choice which IMHO is never a good way to start a hire.
Like anyone else I have several choices listed when I hire. If for some reason my first choice ends up canceling, I start contacting the next one on the list to see if they are available. No need for explanations.

The 'why' in this case doesn't matter and will start things off badly.  
Positive clients get repeat visits.  Negative clients are one and done.

People handle the disappointment of meet-ups that don't come to fruition different ways. I just please myself, fantasizing of what could've been, and try to see someone else at a different time frame.
I'm guessing that for the majority, they look around to find their second choice on down until they find someone, and go with that. I could never do this because it would be impossible for me to not tell that person "Hey, I was interested in seeing [flaky provider here], but the jerk told me last minute he had a family emergency, so I was wondering if.....". I KNOW this is a terrible introduction to make with anyone, because I've just admitted I'm not wanting seeing them initially.
Has anyone had an experience with, say, choice #6 - and had it be a pleasant surprise? And had the decency to leave that part out of trying find other people unsuccessfully first? It's probably a sad measurable percentage, but there's possibly those who contact a provider and say, "You're the least expensive and attractive person listed - I'm not surprised you're on page 6 listed 145th, but I started my search of guys backwards, and came across you. Are you available?"

I spend Christmas and Thanksgiving with family and always enjoy it, but lately I like being back at my house by early evening and listening to Bach’s Christmas Oratorio. I find that quite delightful!
If I’m not busy, a booking on NYE can be fun. In 2020, I spent it with the now retired Dancing Twink, who spent the night. The next morning I made breakfast and we enjoyed a bottle of Veuve. Most pleasant!

At risk of being a difficult client, in what time zone does 6pm not fall between 4pm to 8pm?

It's really a double-edged sword. It seems the men I'm interested in seeing on major holidays are close with their family, so are not available. I was accused of being incredibly inconsiderate to even ask with one of them. Understand, BECAUSE it's a major holiday, I have the time off that normally I don't.
I'm glad to see that more of you are open to meets regardless of the day it is. I presume business still isn't brisk on those days because of the client's fear of potentially being inconsiderate to ask. 

Another guy here who's always with his family on Christmas. Remote tech work is a great thing. Hiring's not much of an option. And always spend NYE with friends.
One time I did hire a guy on NYE, since it was shortly after a breakup and I cut my plans. He's been a regular for 7 years now. Profitable rebound.

When I was young and picking up tricks in bars, I always found Thanksgiving night and Christmas night to be easy pickings. People had spent all day with family and were ready to put a bullet through their brain or a c__k up their a__. Now that I am past the tricking age and in the hiring age, I would expect there are likewise many clients desiring relaxation after a stressful day with family. But of course, completely up to providers to decide if they are working or not. That's the nice thing about being an independent provider. 

Maybe if he smiled in at least one of his pics....
It's disappointing that there are so few good masseurs in the East Bay. It's getting more and more frustrating going into SF.

I’ve tried a number of East Bay masseurs and this profile has never come across my radar. Something about the profile pics gives me pause but his about me section is intriguing. I’m conflicted—go with a tried and true option or give this guy a try?

Why is it "suspicious" that a Mediterranean guy is circumcised?
Men from Israel, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, and Morocco also consider themselves to be Mediterranean. They might not want to identify as "Middle Eastern" because of certain negative connotations, and because Morocco and Tunisia are clearly not in the Middle East. 
Finally, don't forget that there are indeed circumcised men in Spain, Italy, and Greece -- among other places along that sea.
