Does anyone have experience with or recommendations on an athletic Japanese or scruffy Asian provider in NYC?

I’m most interested in Japanese men because often they can be a bit scruffy.  Twinks don’t interest me - It seems most Asian providers in NY are on the very slender or very smooth side.
I know not all Asian men fit these categories.

    thx!

It’s not an unusual request, really, but I’ve asked a few guys to be just getting out of the shower when I arrive. It’s fun to towel them off as foreplay and as an added bonus it helps ensure they’re squeaky clean.

I saw him over 10 years ago for a massage (mediocre at best), and it's odd that he's still in his 20s.

I was in my early 50’s when I started going there.  As you described, as an older guy, I got a great deal of attention.   I do not recall many younger customers in the place.  I miss this place!

I remember going there when I was young. Not one Asian guy gave me a second glance...( At a time when I was accustomed to nearly everyone looking... ) Only the older daddies were getting the attention. Quite a culture shock for me. I had no idea how all that worked. Was so much the opposite of what I understood at that time.

Following up on my last message.  There was some back and forth with JC at https://www.amassagewellness.com/ and it eventually came out that he now works at Spa Riverside, your basic Korean bathhouse.  So no privacy for your massage and no prostate exams.  Plus you get to pay an entrance fee.  I declined.  But I did come across some new information about a new place in Alexandria that I'm going to check out this weekend.  Sahara M4M spa.  https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/bts/d/alexandria-m4m-body-work-available-in/7360466639.html  Doubt it's anything fancy, but they responded to texts and were good about setting up an appointment for me.  We shall see.

The Paradise in Boston (technically across the Charles River in Cambridge, MA). We lovingly called it the “parasite” for all the right reasons: strong drinks, loud music and plenty of dark corners. The basement dance floor was quite the place on Saturday night, complete with communal stall-less toilets without seats. Even their coat check (with tyrannical mandatory coat check policy - anything with a full length zipper - even in the dead of winter) was stuff of legend. Many a causal hookup was scuttled by one party being waylaid in that line at 2 AM…

THE Web was one of those places that never seemed to catch on but offered a good alternative to more crowded venues - it's dancers were mostly accommodating, and some wore only bandanas in strategic ways.

Do you boys remember the venue The Web in midtown Manhattan? Solid place to find younger Asian & LatinX men working/dancing/cruising. Is there a spot that’s replaced it in terms of that niche?
Here’s to hoping 2022 will bring safer opportunities to visit the city.
    Thanks for the intel!

I loved the Web! Down one steep staircase to get in, with a bar and platforms for the dancers, and then there was another level below with the dance floor and stage, plus a caged dancer platform. I wonder what's there now? The layout is very unusual, and would not seem easily adaptable.

I remember fondly Web, Splash and G Lounge. Awesome NYC spots in the early 2000s with hot bartenders and gogos in skimpy underwear. Those were the days. Seems like drag bars have taken over unfortunately.

Ah, yes, THE WEB!  Gone, but not forgotten, even after ten years.  I hope that someone will open a similar venue once Covid passes.  Here's a review I wrote in March 2011:
The Web advertises as an Asian boy bar. However, as previous threads have indicated, its dancers are usually multi-ethnic and multi-racial with a good mix of smooth and buff body types. It is a treasure trove for twink lovers, a deliciously sleazy version of the long gone and much regretted Rounds, with a more intimate scene around the bar than LeBoyz or Club 20. On three visits within the past month, I've met a slim, sexy, cultured all-American boy, a hot Brazilian boy with a swimmer's build, and a very cute Russian boy. For $20 a pop, lap dances have told me all that I need to know about them, including their equipment, proclivities, degree of enthusiasm, and availability.
