stopped by an hour ago and saw Andoni for an hour massage, he did ask for a tip and reminded me of a minimum I should tip (which i was happy to do). super hot guy and great massage, but it did kinda change the vibe

I’ve been to him a few times and he never brought up a tip. That’s so odd

I've seen him 5-6 times and never mention of a tip either. Always a class act.

if he doesn't ask for tip for more sensual, then perhaps he doesn't want to with everyone.

Hi - first time using this forum. Appreciate all the insights.

Anyone tried Noah or Abel from 27 Spa?

Do they make you feel amazing at the end?

I have tried both. I left happy but had to tip 150 to get there. So they can be good but only at a price.

I saw Cody earlier this year and had one of my favorite massages ever with him, but haven’t had a chance to repeat. So today I finally went back and was really excited but the massage ended up being kind of boring/weak and he wore gloves the whole time. What is up with that?! I didn’t find it very relaxing with the gloves on. And it seemed like he didn’t remember me (which is fine/understandable, but he very much wasn’t using gloves the first time).

I’ve had one other massage at a different spa recently where the guy put on gloves at the end of the massage, but not for the whole entire time!

Thanks for reporting, @wDarling

The only person who touches me with gloves on is my physiotherapist. I choose to get a massage for the human touch. If I needed a physiotherapy session, I would hire someone with a degree.
This is going to be the downfall of spa 27 and HK spa, gloves off for all the masseurs or we should boycott.

I haven’t heard of anyone else at HK or 27 wearing gloves. I’ve never had a session w Cody, so have zero clue, but maybe he has something going on  — ie eczema or psoriasis — that requires that he wear gloves. He should be up front about it, but might be afraid of losing biz. Why don’t any of you who have encountered / endured this just ask him? I would.

Agree.. haven’t seen Cody for more than a year. The gloves are more recent I guess. Perhaps some condition. He’s a pretty open guy. I’d ask.

One way to get their attention is to book Cody and if he wears gloves, ask him to remove them. If he won't, then get up and leave. Be respectful but just leave. Advise them calmly/rationally why you are declining service. If he wants/needs to wear gloves, that's his choice but that doesn't mean we have to accept it. We don't need to know his medical history but we also should be advised if our masseur is going to be doing something out of the norm like wearing gloves. (And I say this as someone who loves 27/HK and I have been a client since its Sunny Boy days.)

I have had dozens of massages at hk spa and a few at spa 27. And several with Cody, though I'm not particularly a fan of his and don't book with him since I concluded he's too variable for me. I've never had anyone wear gloves (I'm not doubting this report). Just saying it's unusual there and  I've never encountered it in scores of massages there.

I’ve been to 27 and HK for many years now. Recent experience with Alejandro, first time. He’s very good looking and his massage technique is almost scientific. Very thorough and amazing pressure. Good skills overall. If you want a good massage I’d recommend.

What I didn’t enjoy: end of massage he asked if I want a HE, and said it would cost $100 (unprompted by me). I’ve been going long enough to know the tipping etiquette (usually tip 75% for an okay massage, at least 100% for anything better). I definitely don’t negotiate in the room. It’s just awkward. I said no (bruised ego I guess as I’ve never been asked over years). Still tipped 100% because the massage was great. The price talk at end means I probably won’t return. If only he’d been patient I could have shown him my appreciation and gone regularly. Come to find out he’s had regular issues asking about tips.
