No, it is not a fawning biography of me but a new novel by Emmy award-winning Frasier writer Joe Keenan. It's a delightful sendup of Hollywood celebrity with enough gay sex for all of us, including hunky hustlers with names like Buster and a swanky spa doubling as a male brothel. Think Will and Grace go to Holllywood, where, with pal Jack, they get involved in seemingly endless capers surrounding the haughty backstabbers of Tinseltown. A closeted screen heartthrob is the focus of the story and by the end his closet has been severely rattled. It's a pretty funny book for those looking for something light-hearted. The only really nasty guy in the book is the assistant DA.

 

If it gets made into a movie, I recommend our own Rock Hard for the part of former actor Rex Bajour. Woodlawn of course would be the DA, I am going to play uncle Monty, and the hearthrob will go from a blond to a swarthy Latin ...now who could play him? Juan?

i've read joe keenan's other novels and laughed out loud they were so funny; it has been a long time since he wrote one and i am looking foward to reading it. the other books would make good movies, too.

Far be it for me to put a crimp into Rock Hard's movie career, but I seem to recall a news item (and a post on this board) that Brad Pitt is looking for a gay part to star in. And if he turns it down, there's always Tom Cruise.
