I just returned from LV.

 

Hiring depends on frame of mind... and I simply wasnt in the mood while there.

 

I had reloaded Grindr, Scruff and other apps for the trip. Ive commented in other threads that Id never once been contacted via an app by a potential rentguy. Not so this time.

• It was actually encouraging to see the prevalence of gay guys around me on the strip. There were always 5-10 guys within 200 feet, and dozens within 1500 feet. Thats just app-users! (When Grindr reports a hot guy is 34 or 56 feet away from your hotel room.... gotta remember that gps doesnt report altitude. Nice to think theyre one door-down....but they could be sitting at a bar directly beneath your room down in the casino.)
  
• At least three-four guys contacted me nightly as escorts. Maybe its a vegas thing... maybe FOSTA... or.???
  
• First ever contacts to buy drugs via app too.
  

I wasnt in the market... had a few brief chats, but no other contacts.

 

I also saw a few guys out and about that triggered my "rentguy-radar"... shredded, tanktops, trying to discretely converse on their phones, but I could hear them describing themselves, or even mention money. Maybe my "wishdar"

 

Overall, it felt like LV wouldnt be too challenging to arrange a rentguy... even as the playing field changes

I was on the strip.

 

The guys I interpreted as likely rentguys were either in casinos or the many shopping centers lining the strip. Or out on the strip sidewalks.

 

I went to no bars, not even in a casino.

 

I cant say for certain anyone was a rentguy... no one approached me in person. But when you walk past a shredded guy and hear him say "three hundred" or "5'10, 170...." into his phone... given my experiences, there is higher likelihood....

I, too, just got back from Vegas. What a bad experience from the hiring side! Second only to Miami in the number of flakes, no shows and underwhelming performers. Wow! Especially bad experience with LucasTallOneXXX -- scam artist extraordinaire. I would advise you steer clear of him.

Mostly, I simply wasnt in the right frame of mind to hire. No one on RM appealed to me... a bad indicator given that there were plenty of choices.

 

Previous LV visits, all 12+ years ago:

• My only agency experience was in LV. Bad.
  
• My wackiest experience ever... combining some elements that were my best rentguy ever, with awful planning, scheduling and a bizarre ending.... Vegas.
  
• Even non-rentguy meetups have gone badly for me in LV, compared to other cities.
  

I'm not the least bit spiritual, but maybe it's written in the stars that I shouldn't rent from LV. One of the benefits of getting older.... I knew better than to do it. 10 years ago, I'd have let my crotch overrule my brain, and made bad decisions.

Las Vegas is a transient town that has a lot of well...losers here. They put their bodies and material things above being honorable and the golden rule. That's for sure. I have been stiffed by every person I allowed into my home to rent a room. Everyone got to the end and I either kicked them out or they left owing me alot of money. Everyone! That being said, people are people. I see regularly one super handsome huge bodybuilder. Sweetest guy and a real keeper.
