There's flights as cheap as $373 rt from the east coast right now. Wish I had a bf that could fly. Bad timing.

 

There is some gay life in Lahaina on Maui. Unfortunately none I could find around Kona on the Big Island where the guys are most attractive. Sure there's zip on Kauai. I did know a hot marine stationed on Oahu who still is there with a couple in a 3 some after 10 years. But even Oahu with it's million people is a real disappointment gay-wise. But the main drag on Kuhio by the beach is packed full of female hookers all night. OTOH I'm sure half the escorts on the west coast would jump at a trip there. Hard to convince east coasters how nice it is.

It looks like Mask-Querade gay bar is still open in Kona. I was there 15+ years ago! (Jeez time flies!) It’s on yelp and has good reviews. Kona itself is not the greatest vacation spot but it does have great bargains. Hapuna Beach is about an hour drive. Volcanoes are pretty awesome too. 2 hr drive

omg--little Kona has a gay bar. It's my favorite because of the top of Moana Kea and swimming with the giant manta rays at Khehou. Also the casual diners downtown and those surf bums' bums everywhere.

I would have never recognized it. I do remember that TV show, but it was not very successful over there and, of course, before cable, everything was doubled to Spanish. That catch phrase never reached my ears until now.

Not a surprise, since Jack Lord lived in Hawaii for 12 years.

Interesting information in this post. Thanks latbear4blk. Now I understand why I can’t find anyone one RM. I’m going in the beginning of April. Staying at HHV in Waikiki. This is a long overdue ‘nurture me’ trip. I don’t really understand. If someone is on RM and I invite them to my hotel, how do police and prostitution stings enter this picture? The tower I’m staying in is secure, private and I just let the front desk know I’m expecting a guest. Pretty simple. Now, I must say that My last visit was close to 20 years ago! Things must have changed drastically since then. Is posting on CL or using apps safe? I’m woke and shook now .

The escort situation in Hawaii is dire by nature...there’s just not a lot of guys in the game, doesn’t have anything really to do with on/off again LE there. And the OP’s post is about LE cracking down on providers not clients specifically....somehatever you’ve done in the past for your personal safety and security is still valid.

Thanks for what, exactly? The last 10 posts or so have been about a television program, while the real topic of the thread was never really addressed. So far we know that someone was arrested somewhere in Hawaii.

Hey, you've been around here long enough to know that it takes very little to veer from the road.

 

As for the op, we never got specifics, only broadly painted strokes: I wouldn't have made the post myself if I wasn't willing to get right to the point (and perhaps save someone some trouble).

 

@BabyBoomer The Gov, I believe, was Richard Denning. I knew that one from memory, but looked to see who else was in the show and got trapped in a 5-0 rabbit hole. Wo Fat has definitely always been one of my all-time favorite TV villains.

I thought it was an unusual occurrence. I do know it happens, but I always thought it would happen rarely. You say it happens all the time in Vegas? I am even more surprised, I thought Nevada was prostitution friendly.
