Perhaps because I like lean, sinewy guys, I find the "King Kong" shots of Adrian Brody really hot. He's also on display in a recent "Men's Health."

"Kong" also features Jamie Bell (aka Billy Elliot) who's acquiring a nice late adolescent pout.

Two more reasons to line up to see the hairy beast.

Saw a screening two weeks ago. Very fun. Officially, not my kind of film, I believe CGI, like traditional animation, is best when restrained.

The initial boat ride is too long (and the ride home nonexistent) but it certainly won't disappoint anyone looking for excitement.

King Kong is remarkably human, they did a fantastic job with him.

Jack Black was a poor choice, too distracting.

Good, fun, mindless film. Enjoy.

A lot of people were surprised by Brody's "new" look in Men's Health because they first saw him in "The Piano". But he dropped 30+ pounds to play that role, and now he's back to his normal (yummy) self. He's got some serious abs going on!

But can somebody who has seen a preview tell us - do we get to see that hot Brody bod even partially undraped in this flick? I had it when the guys with the hot bods hide it.

Like Matt Damon in Syriana. One swimming pool scene, and all you really see is his back. What's going on with that pretty tight bod that was briefly on view in early films? Same complaint about recent Mark Wahlberg onscreen sightings.

(And, in Brokeback Mountain, there was a totally hot view of Heath Ledger partially undraped in the longest version of the trailer that never showed up in the film itself! C'mon, Heath.... although I guess in most of these cases the director and/or film editor are more to blame!

The photo with today's NYTimes review shows Aid in a wifebeater.

What's the point? Some people will always see every subject under the sun, in the most base homosexual terms. :-(

Any of you guys celebrating puberty anytime soon? Let me know if you are, as I'll throw you a party.

I'm looking forward to seeing the ape fight scenes, much like I looked forward to the dinos in JURASSIC PARK, which didn't disappoint.

Jamie Bell was looking very hot as the Dickensian innocoent in NICHOLAS NICKELBY in that shirtless scene (only in this century would the most disadvantaged character have great abs and pecs!). So I look forward to seeing how nice he's looking these days.

A party's a great idea. We'll celebrate the male form. And you can lighten up.

I just saw the movie Jamie Bell aka Billy Elliott was looking good enough to bed. :-) I can't believe that he's 19 all ready. Where has the time gone? It seems like it was just yesterday when he was jumping around like this:

Now he's grown up some and looking like this:

Here he is in King Kong:

And here he is again at the premiere:

I thought that it was so adorable how that older sailor guy was so protective of Jamie Bell's character.

Has anyone seen any recent pictures of Peter Jackson, btw? It looks like he's loss a lot of weight since Lord of the Rings:

He wasn't the only one of the group to feel that way about Jimmy (Bell). There is a wonderfully poignant scene where Jack Driscoll (Brody) comforts Jimmy after a tragedy.

Don't you just hate it when after going to all this great effort to find the perfect pictures, that they end up not posting. :-(

Hey Hoover, I wanted to comfort Jimmy too }(

Yes, there's a scene in the ship where Adrien has his shirt off. He looks like he might have just finished shaving or something though, because he has a towl around his neck.

I actually loved the selection of Jack Black. THere were times where I think that the movie would have been boring without him.

OH yes, BIlly Elliot thinking of the boy he left back home.

As for KONG: For the first hour or so, I was again 10 years old. Totally thrilled. It was exciting, mesmerizing -- at a time when I've had it up to here and there with speciall effects. These outdazzled, but more importantly were part of a very heroic story.

Then a lull at midpoint, and enough already with the creepy crawler scenes. The return to NYC brings the picture back up -- beatiful evocation of Times Square in the '30s -- though not quite up to the pitch of the opening. Unfortunate when a film excites at the outset, then tapers off at the finish. Still and all, highly recommended.

Bell's reading "Heart of Darkness" a lovely touch -- has me wanting to reread that work, for the first time since h.s. when it was heavy going.

Adrien Brody a presence, surprisingly heroic. An offbeat leading man, somewhat like the anti-heroes in the New Wave films from France in the '60s. He looks exquisite in close-up.

And to answer the question of the hour: he does appear shirtless, though with a white towel draped around his chest. For the rest of the time he mostly wears a wifebeater and an open shirt. He can take me anytime to the heart of darkness.
