Please beware. I belive this is the same faker under new name. Anyone good at the reverse pictures and see if they can find the Twitter or Facebook from which he lifted the pictures?

Someone please tell me what this stuff is all about since it happens so much? Are they just enticing dates into show-ups where the client is too embarrassed to refuse payment? I know I got trapped by one of those Rentman traveling scams last year and forked over $300 to someone I wouldn't take $300 to touch. Are the reviews etc on Rentman really such frauds that a chief function of M4M is policing the scammers and Rentman does nothing?

For me taking someone cold off Rentmen who I haven't seen or heard of otherwise is just not worth the risks, some of which could be more serious than losing $300.

Very often, the guy isn’t ugly, just not the one that is in the pictures. So when he arrives at their door, some clients think: “Yeah, I could fuck this, I am horny from the anticipation, and he is available right now!” And so the client still, gets laid, and the guy still gets paid. That is why a fake ad can work for some.

As to why they don’t put their own pics.... beats me. Could be that they are not that photogenic? Or they know that a face pic is more popular, but don’t want their own face on the internet? Whatever it is, you would have to ask them.

But they are cases where the dishonesty goes much further, they just try to rob you and do nothing in exchange for your money. There are stories of such danger here on this forum, especially if you go to their place.

When I first started seeing escorts, it happened to me. The guy looked similar to picture. He was hot. I let it go. He asked for money up front. We took a shower together. He started a back rub then said anything other than back rub is extra. I told him to finish the back rub and leave. He blocked me from RM before I could leave a negative review. First, I think it is the same person posting multiple adds. Think about it, if they scam 2-4 people a day. They are paying for rentmen ad and making a futune cheating people who may not know better. I have learned my lesson and I am able to vett such losers.

Yes, the guy who got me was very vaguely similar to the drop-dead gorgeous guy in the photos who seems to constantly change cities and names on Rentmen. Could have been same guy 10 or 15 years (and many pounds and wrinkles) later. Or could have been someone remotely similar looking but much younger.

What struck me was we did a little discussion of escorting work, I mentioned how some friends did massage, stripping, etc and he responded that he could not imagine any work where he could come close to the amounts he makes on Rentmen. And of course if he gets 3, 4 or 5 dates per day (the photos are THAT good-looking) at $300 and most clients pay and leave within 5 or 10 minutes because he's so gross, he is raking it in. And by traveling the country he has a huge pool of prey.

On the other site in the Prague forum we have had the first incidents like this the past year and we've started asking for pre-dates outside if they can't do a Facetime or video chat quick, with the option to pay say $50 and walk away if uninterested. The good-looking honest guys have absolutely no problem with this because they never get turned down in person. Even if they're a notch or two below their photos, a client will usually accept a reasonable difference. Even the frauds will sometimes do it if they don't have someone else on the hook for the time slot.

Been there, done that, but not since I found this forum.

His name is Darian Alvarez and that's for sure not his profile.

The Bozo using the fitness model's photos is clever using mostly photos that can be found only using Yandex - However, one photo slipped through and ruined his scam.

Incidentally, the real subject of the photos is 5' 6", not 6' 4" as shown in the bogus ad - another thing about the ad is that the faker claims to speak English but does not mention Spanish. The real subject of the photos is from Cuba and speaks Spanish.

Here are some photos that can be used to find out more about the real person whose photos were stolen for the fake ad (one of these same photos is in the bogus ad):

The guy who placed the ad only today signed up with rentmen - unless he has had other ads with them. I recommend not to use someone who steals photos off the internet and uses those photos to deceive.

What you all describe was partially my experience starting out as well. I've met two guys on the site who were using fake pics. In one case, the guy was just "not bad" enough and right on the line of telling him, "thanks and no thanks" and telling him to leave and refusing payment just by the virtue of the deceipt and being so far off from the Ad. I did proceed awkwardly but reduced the amount of time originally scheduled for but despite being dissapointed in his appearance he definitely was pro escort and delivered in other respects. I would not repeat though once getting past the fake pics and him not being fully "my type", once there i have to adnit he was still a good escort.

The 2nd time the Pic's were totally fake but the provider was actually just as hot if not hotter than the fake pics and for privacy reasons (primarily being gay for pay) he did not want to have his real pics online and this activity was purely to make some cash in order to later change "careers". He definitely had a "hustler mode" whereby he could try and upsell but other than having fake pics and being flaky from a consistent time committment perspective (as truthfully, he was trying to find other work, and juggling a new girlfriend who didn't approve) but even despite all that, he would honor arrangements, perform and be trustworthy. We actually stopped being "clients and regulars" and became friends. During that time, i briefly met two of his escort friends, who also used fake pic's, and similar situation whereby they would be "gay for pay", had numerous regular clients, but unfortunately enticed people dishonestly with fake Ad's and were attractive enough to have a high enough success rate of converting it into business for the temporary periods in their lives when they were hustling in order to transition into another line of work. I honestly think they primarily used fake pic's to try as best they could not have the stigma follow them years after they stopped escorting.

In my limited experience, I'm not really that shocked that people are using fake Pic's for a variety of reasons, and although I'm typically very careful, starting out I'll admit, I think i was fortunate i wasn't in a situation whereby the fake pic's was just the beginning of a really bad situation like a potential theft or worse.
