That sort of thing happens regularly.

The reverse look up systems online are very unreliable. Perhaps their search engines mistakenly connect similar info. Perhaps the providers are so active in churning through voip and online non-cell texting numbers, that they get re-used by other.

Call him, and proceed with a little healthy consumer's skepticism. Even the slightest doubt - some would opine 100% of new hires - FaceTime or some other videochat.

I google his phone and get this ad from as late as Sept 2017 to this TS escort - Stacy

Should i be leery? Thoughts?

Thanks,

The other day I heard somebody say: "You have to find yourself, for everything else there is google!". Witty but untrue. Google is your friend but as @LaffingBear indicated, not perfect. Approach him like you would a White House press release: with caution and healthy skepticism! ;)

Could it just be a recycled Google Voice number? Or the TS escort is his girlfriend and they share a burner phone?

According to Tim Adonis, lots of the "gay4pay" boys are TS chasers.

"Stacy's" ad has the area code 201 phone number in the body of the ad, but one of the pics has a 512 area code on it. Googling it displays listing for a TS escort's ad.

I'm torn on this one. You could ask him how long he has been doing massage, when he was trained, etc. I'm thinking along the same lines as @sniper. He is from NH and has a NJ area code. Google Voice does not have numbers in every area code, so area code 201 might have been the closest area code and he lucked out on "Stacy's" old number. Or something is fishy!

This reminds me of a funny story. I added a friend of mine (male) to my Verizon account with a new number. For the first week he kept getting calls from men asking for Stacy (or some ladies name). He told me about it a week later and I Google it. It brought me to a Craigslist add for a female escort. So somehow his number was associated with a female escort and was getting calls. He obviously switched numbers and I toyed with him and used a number he did not know to ask for Stacy on his new number and he got freaked out.

Thinking about this post...

Is there any reliable way these days to reverse lookup a phone number? Or an email address. Or ID on a platform.. e.g. Yahoo ID?

Long ago, the phone company published reverse directories. And there were reliable landline reverse search engines in earlier days on the internet.

These days, seems like any reverse search effort leads to a for-pay website. Most try to hook users into ongoing subscriptions (sign up online, but most phone to cancel... 'your expected wait time is two hours twenty-seven minutes')... some will sell info for a one-time fee.

But all of the sites use careful, qualifying language, with the word "may" featured prominently. As in "our search results may include name, address, social media," etc.

There have been some experiences in my career and my volunteer work that I'd pay for reliable reverse lookup info; the key word being reliable.

Feels inconsistent or contradictory...in an age when we feel and are repeatedly reminded that our information is not private... its become more difficult to get information.
