What is the farthest that you would drive to a client?

A Regular has told me that he's not coming to the Local Big City anymore.

He'll be going to another, smaller town about 2 1/2 hours (easy drive, actually).

As these were standing appointments, yes, I'd stay around an extra day to see friends and bum around a little.

 

After a year or two of that, I'd immediately fly home. Travel becomes the real job after awhile.

I usually quote something prohibitively expensive and move on. I'll have plenty of opportunities for work in Manhattan during that four or eight hour round trip window.
