In Trump’s America, Homophobe Blake Shelton Is the ‘Sexiest Man Alive’

People are not happy that ‘The Voice’ judge was named People’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive,’ given his history of racism and homophobia.

Twitter users began unearthing Shelton’s disturbing history of homophobic and racist tweets. Juvenile cracks like, “Question for my gay followers…. Are skittles y’all’s favorite candy?” and “How can I be attracted to lesbians?... I’m not gay…” and “Grown men who wear Chuck Taylor’s may as well write on their fore head ‘Cucumbers turn me on!!!’”

 

In one of his most offensive tweets, sent in 2011, Shelton appeared to advocate violence against gay men, tweeting, “Re-writing my fav Shania Twain song... Any man that tries Touching my behind He’s gonna be a beaten, bleedin’, heaving kind of guy…”

 

Then there were the racist tweets, ones like, “Wish the dickhead in the next room would either shut up or learn some English so I would atleast know what he’s planning to bomb!!” or “Nothing says ‘Happy 4th of July’ like a airport shuttle bus driver that can’t speak a FUCKING word of English!!! To the terminal Omar!!!” In another tweet from 2010, he writes about a "sick fantasy" he had about the then 16-year-old Dakota Fanning.

 

"So I just figured out a great excuse for my sick fantasy about Dakota Fanning. I thought she was Amanda Seyfried," he wrote. (BTW, do y'all know a leaked pic of Seyfried blowing Justin Long is online?)

He was doing this before Trump became POTUS. Trump did not make him this way.

 

This was known yet they let him be on "The Voice". What does this say about the entertainment business?

 

I've never watched "The Voice". How did he and Adam Levine get along? Adam has a gay brother.

I have a female friend in Kansas (godless liberal democrat) who thinks he's hot. I'm like maybe ten years ago if he actually hit the gym instead of this dadbod thing he's got going. He's not unattractive, but man he doesn't come close to working with what he's got. If he did he could merit the award.

I think there's something about the midwest where they see a person as they would look if they tried to look good and react as if he looks that way.
