I cook myself Thanksgiving Dinner too, but yours sounds Ultra extravagant and lush. Why go thru All that trouble ? And keep in mind, the Holiday signifies spending time with loved ones... Can you really expect a perfect stranger to accept your gracious invite ? Perhaps if the offer was made for a "public" dinner, you might get more hits. However it turns out, I hope your day is "special" and meaningful. The meal certainly IS.

Well JJkrk --- I am worth it --- I pamper myself --- and my guests and was seeking a Professional Gentleman Caller who wanted both a BFE and a Nice Easy Day -- and some Kiss and Cuddle and Kink! And who also wanted to be pampered and was may away from his family

Beard of distinction - you are a fabulous cook to make all of those special dishes. I truly enjoy good food and am most appreciative of home cooking. If the right gent doesn't happen to come along to accept your kind and generous invitation, just keep in mind that you are better off by yourself than to have some self-serving free loader come knocking. Enjoy that scrumptious meal and be at peace with yourself. You are very special. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for those things you have. It is especially appropriate when shared with people you don't know that well, but who have been particularly gracious to you.

I'm spending Thanksgiving with a couple who's son is on a WINNING football team, and I"ve been to (most) of his games. Just because. And to be supportive.

Remember to listen to Alice's Restaurant on Thanksgiving.

Every once in a while (not often) I wish that I did not have a nice family and could just hop on a plane and get me some cornish game hens. This is one of them. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving ALL-

I read this post with much interest and found it slightly bizarre in terms of some of the responses that the OP received. I do hope that the ones following mine will be in keeping with what he posted. Let this be a "very positive and helpful and supportive day" for all!

@Bearofdistinction, it sounds like you're preparing a wonderful Thanksgiving spread. I'm curious if there were any gentlemen that you reached out to, or just hoping they would see your post here?

Yes I did reach out -- The original plan was to spend the day with my Friend and regular local Gentleman Caller. Right before the post his plans changed an had to work his fulltime job. Just waiting for the Hens to finish Cooking - I like to cook them low and slow to allow the flavors from the stuffing and the bird to meld and moisten each other.

I did receive several replies but the scheduling and the personalities did not match

I treat all my callers as gentleman - Even the Women LOL

Im a lil brassy at times but never trashy hahaha. How did your supper come out?

Hugs,

Greg

They are not like the Austrian/French pastries. But you also have biscotti, pignoli, and sesame seed cookies.

When my partner and I were in Rome, we rented a condo in a converted 16th century cloister. In the same building, there was an amazing bakery, and they very much did sell pastries. Exactly the kind of products that anyone would call pastries. The owner of the business was a good-looking young Italian guy. His mother worked the counter. She spoke only Italian, unlike most of the other Romans we encountered, who spoke English very well. She laughed a lot and had this big, loud laugh that made made me think of Phyllis Diller. I enjoyed stopping there every morning.

Sounds great. Like Anna Magnani working in a bakery.
