Why do some escorts insist that we send them an EMS rather than an email? An EMS costs money while email usually comes with your internet package.

I think they all have a package with 1000s of text messages for free. Also, if you use Apple, the message gets sent as an IMessage by default, which uses the internet. I haven’t paid for a single text message for 6 years.

You should get a cell contract that includes a number of free text messages.

Do cellphone providers even offer a plan where you have to pay per text message anymore? I thought everything went unlimited years back.

In any case, we ask for a text message or phone call to establish a more reliable means of communication as e-mail tends to be very unreliable. There are also a bunch of other reasons from our end in terms of safety & businesses practices that require a usable & working phone number.

I don’t know of any carriers in America that offer pay for text services but in Costa Rica everyone used What’s App as a texting tool. Their basic phone packages there only included 25 or 50 texts. After that there was a per text charge. That may hav3 changed as this was 3-4 years ago.

Thank you for your reply and clarifying this for me.

As for Benjamin Nichols rude reply, I have never considered hiring him anyway, so now I know another reason to avoid him.

I begin to become uneasy when someone I plan to meet can’t/won’t text me.

I saw a Czech guy visiting Miami a few weeks ago who didn’t have a means of texting and I wouldn’t have committed to the appointment after the first couple of RM emails had he not been vouched-for by someone here.

Is there a way to text without a cellphone. Believe it or not my phone exploded and I am not sure when I will be able to replace it. I know that I can regular telephone but I'd prefer the first communication(s) be by email. Then I can do a short phone because of an issue that is definitely be discussed over the phone (both quicker and easier). Do you think email will be OK?

You can text using a google voice account on a computer.

The OP reminded me of a spate of articles some while back about the rising attitude among young adults that "email is for old people"...

Imagine my surprise when I realized that said spate happened 10+ years ago.

Leapin' lizards, I am old! :D

Similarly, I always assume, and am usually correct, that anyone with an @aol email is over 50
