I hope I'm not selected for jury duty either...but I've not gone after anyone, have I? As to his upbringing, I'll let the result stand on its own without amplification. As to him having survived rape, it's not been established yet that there was a rape...but if it was rape, it's awfully surreal that he was filming it himself... At least I admitted, "I won’t go into details on this situation because I don’t know a lot more facts than I actually do know on this one"...if only you would stop filling in those blanks with facts you don't know to be true.

 

I can't tell you how many rape allegations are false, but I can tell you that there's definitive evidence that not all are true and that every accused person is this country is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

What KS is alleged to have done to young men, and very young men over the decades is pretty damning. In that light, one would hope the 18 year old kid wouldn't get blamed when a 58 year old celebrity stuck a hand down his shorts. I get a sense some of the posts in here are rooting for a kind of consensual, Jack Nasty scenario seen on Pornhub. That's too bad, if people think that way.

I'm not addressing anything else that he's alleged to have done. I'm looking at the current situation and questioning motives (exactly what a juror is allowed to do as well).

 

Do you remember Mary Jo Latourneau?? While the world and media melted down over what she had done, the kid (and his mom) were on record saying he wasn't a victim...he was a willing participant and had no complaints. I remember watching his mother on a morning show saying "we're not complaining...we will everyone would leave us alone." In his case though, the law defined his victimhood...not so on an 18 year old...who filmed it.

One of them told everybody about it and warned other students pointing the wealthy old man who raped him. The other one didn't do anything about it. It was like the movie Deliverance he said.

 

I have a friend in Alaska who is a communist, and so is his mother. In the 70's she took him to all kind of demonstrations, printing and delivering pamphlets, protesting in campuses was part of his childhood. She would sign up to all antiwar causes including brazier burnings in public.

 

One day she got raped by a man in a park... she didn't do anything, didn't put a poster warning the neighbors, go to the cops... nothing. Her daughter was abused by one of her boyfriends... didn't do nothing...

 

Kelly Anne Conway had a similar approach yet on TV she's a tough woman but when it mattered and she could have saved other women from that pervert she didn't do anything.

 

There's a saying in Uruguay pointing at folks who when they going gets tough they shut up.

 

"People who yell at the bar and shut up at the police station"

 

What a world this would be if we picked our fights while mostly minding our own business! The change starts at home!

 

Some folks are going after this kid who did the right thing and even kept cool enough to get evidence of the sexual harassment...

But nothing about our experience has anything to do with THIS situation except appealing to some as an apparent justification to bypass facts and draw a conclusion of guilty until proven innocent

 

You may have been been able to go on with your life without some therapy.

 

But, it has taken others longer; some have recurring nightmares and much worse.

Lets see. On the face of it, this looks odd. It is a open public place/bar. It is supposed to have happened over 3 minutes, the victim never said no, never pushed his hand away. There were dozens of people right around him?

 

Just seems odd-but lets wait and see what is presented in court before judging. Right now it is Spacey's spin team on full blast -so lets see.
