I've had the same handful of coins in my pocket (or on the kitchen bench), and the same few notes in my wallet for about three months now, and don't regret the change.

And of course, having just said that, the Macca's I stopped at driving home from Sydney had its eftpos down, so I had to pay in cash, so my handful of coins has grown.
