I been looking over Craigslist for the last couple of weeks. Has anyone ever have any dealings for guys on there. Was going to meet someone last week but at the last minute I called it off because he wanted the money up front

I`ve enjoyed a few from CL including one two days ago who joined with a reviewed board escort for a hot threeway. Never had a problem with any of them. I also previewed another guy before he joined the escort site and his $100 increase in rate.

Hey there I advertise on craigslist and off of there met a client that posted a review on me on this site so that was a good experience.

 

I found that as my client and I searched for a third to join us some are good and some are not.

 

I say go with your gut and take it from there.

I've culled guys off CL... 6 times, that I can think of off-hand. None have been horrible, altough two have been lackluster. Three of the guys I've met through CL now have moved on to actual escort-dom, which includes the inevitable increase in prices, bless their hearts.

The thing about CL is that there are alot of scammers, and alot of guys posting over and over and over again under different nomes de plume. You should spend a little time just lurking, and getting to know your local board before making a selection.

Also, It's not unheard of, at least here in the SF area, for well-known escorts to advertise themselves in disguise on CL, especially if they're in a financial pinch. Everyone falls on hard times from time to time... and that's just the best time to take advantage of them, isn't it?

I used Craigslist one time and the experience was OK but not extraordinary. I've had my most satisfying sessions with escorts who have had multiple favorable client reviews on this website.

I've hooked up several times via CL, most recently this past Tuesday, but that was a freebie, not an escort.

 

I've hooked up 6 times with guys escorting off of CL, and none repeat NONE have been any more disappointing, action wise, than professional escorts. Both are neck and neck as far as batting average. The difference? The CL boys cost one heck of a lot less, for the same experience! Viva CL! :7

Nonsense, you charming thing! It's not that I think of escorts as weak and desperate (although they might well be after an hour appointment with me), but rather the sad fact is that I am poor, and therefore cheap. (BUT I still look presentable when I go out in public, a lesson all you girls who go shopping at CostCo wearing bedroom slippers need to learn!)

I don't need designer harlots... the "rough-around-the-edges" boys I occasionally find on CL are beautiful by me. I appreciate and respect them, and their lower prices result in a bigger tip.

Regarding capital-E Escorts who occasionally offer themselves on CL at a cheaper price, that's just good business sense. If you're sitting on product that's not moving, the obvious thing to do is have a sale!

Just out of curiosity - do you look under the M4M listing, or under the erotic services listing? I do see escorts under erotic services, but was wondering about the boys in M4M.

Both. In the M4M section, they'll usually use $ symbols or words like donation, generous, etc. if they're selling it.

 

It varies widely by city. Some cities have evolved their own unique language just for CL it seems.

OKay...someone enlighten me...When I go to Craigslist.com...I get the SF area. Is CL only for that area...how about other cities? Also, when I looked under erotic services, it was mostly females...do you just filter through for male escorts?

Go to http://www.craigslist.org/ It defaults to the SF area but on the right side of the home page you will see the list of all cities covered. Just click on the one you want.

 

In Chicago escorts mostly list under Personals: men seeking men. Some do post under Services: erotic, though most there are female.

This is an embarassing story, but I only have two Craigs List stories so here it goes :

 

1) Saw a great ad by this guy just looking to go on a date. He had pics, looked good and most of all his words were well chosen and had a bit of a humorous edge. Emails sent, phone numbers given, pics sent (face pics you foul creatures!!!) conversations and then the date !!!

Picked him up and we were pretty happy that we both were as we stated.

Went to dinner (sushi). I figured that the only problem might be that he was about 10 years younger than me.

Well I was wrong...this guy told me stories about him and his ex and how they beat the shit out of each other, along with about 1000 other maladaptive behaviors. It was just bizarre...

 

2) A paid experience - I will make this one short...guy advertised on CL..had pics...muscular and good looking...asian/puerto rican and lived in Queens...I get to the apt and all the lights are off but I can still make out that the guy is the same guy from the pics...unfortunately he was about 100 lbs more than in the pics and told me that he had just had an operation on his stomach (I think a tummy tuck or gastric bypass)...didnt have the heart (I know Im a dick) to tell him he sucked, so I spent a very unpleasant 45 minutes with him...booooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

Since I never go I do not know if James was one of the people who went to the other site or if he simply left this site, period. Some of the local Los Angeles clients may know, since he was a primary point person for the local West Hollywood/Los Angeles Hooville meetings at Numbers.

 

He pointed frequently and repeatedly in the Deli about his experiences both in looking for and in hooking up with "escorts" or, more generally, as you can note from some of the comments here, from the men willing to offer themselves up temporarily.

 

As Trixie and others noted, some go on to continue to do. Others simply and easily disappear. As James once mentioned, you are going to have to be willing to spend a certain amount of time and energy sorting the wheat from the chaff.

 

If you are able to search for threads with CraigsList in them, I am sure you will find a number of good comments from him and other clients with experience.

Thanks for the thought. For reasons I've posted before (and what will probably follow this post) I don't really participate here anymore. I started a google group related to SoCal escorts, Craig's List and other things of interest to the LA group...

It's got some good Craig's List stuff (be sure to check the 'older topics'). I've been resting for the last week or two but there's usually about one in-depth update a week, and others are welcome to contribute if they like.

 

There should also be much past discussion of CL on these boards as Franco pointed out, use Advanced Search and try the different options (also widen the date range). Unfortunately, last time I tried clicking direct links to older threads provided within a post all I got was the interminable Rules page, so you will have to search them out yourself.

 

(As you seem to have sensed...) The same rules apply on CL as hiring from HB's reviews or even off the street: if you get a bad vibe and especially if they demand money up front *call it off*. Think with the big head and you'll do fine. Good luck, with some patience I'm sure you'll find some fun on Craig's List!
