I know that each review on this site is gone over with a fine tooth comb prior to publication for the protection of the site and all parties involved. It seems as if a large numbers of reviews are written by the same person. How much of a review is changed from submission to publication?

I recently submitted a review, which has been published. A portion of my original submission was deleted, leaving the review somewhat disjointed and therefore not conveying what I intended it to do. I wish that the person revising the submitted review had contacted me to discuss changes. It is unlikely that I will write any more reviews.

It is the use of phrases like, "if he comes to ur town run dont walk" and "give him a call you will be glad you did" that make me wonder.

Makes you wonder what? I don't understand. Do you think the proprietors are adding sales pitches?

None of my reviews have been changed or redacted in any way. I guess my internal filter is operating as designed - if it fails, I am quite glad I will have daddy and his elves there to catch it.

I actually agree with @Epigonos, who said in an earlier thread that the reviews under the new format aren't helpful to him. And I agree that ideally changes to reviews should be cleared with the reviewer and the reviewer given the option to withdraw the review.

However...as a former lawyer, I understand why the current policy exists. Moreover, it's not my reviews or your reviews but Daddy's Reviews, and he gets to run them as he sees fit. Seems to me that even imperfect but vetted reviews are better than none or than the easily gamed reviews on other sites.

I dont have much in common with the reviewers as they are looking for a different experience than myself. I use them primarily for picture verification and whether they are trustworthy.
