Just wondering how Dave's investment in Gay Resort is effected by this?

Good question. The evacuation area is still relatively small and at the eastern end of the island. The chances are that his resort is safe.

This recent onslaught of national disasters (Texas/Florida/Virgin Islands/Puerto Rico hurricanes and flooding; Mexico City earthquake; Philippines monsoon flooding; now volcano warnings in Bali and Vanuatu is almost Biblical-like.

drifting off here into a favorite subject of mine, history, note that the loudest sound in modern history is considered to be the eruption of Krakatoa in 1883, also in Indonesia....

...and if we are to believe our So Cal CBS affiliate's local news, we are now being hit with a bed bug invasion of biblical proportions.

Where in Bali is the resort.

At this stage the main tourist areas of Nusa Dua, Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Sanur and Ubud are not affected, and unlikely to be affected, by lava flow etc. a good wash down from any ash maybe but nothing more.

I have a trip booked for 28 days in november , at this stage no plans to be changed.
