Thanks! I was just wondering if I was being cheap. I have only being hiring for a few months. I always carry an extra $100. My respectable is $20-40. My very good is $50. Blow my mind is $100. I always pay my regular an extra $50 though. I have only paid the $100 once. One has to really earn that $100. I could afford more but I think I would only do that for a regular just to show appreciation. There are certain things you skimp on but ways to blow your load is not one of them. Just saying:)

As an independent escort, you're free to set your own rates.....don't you strive to provide your best to each & every client ???.....why / for what exactly would an additional tip be expected ?....I don't think that exceptional performance or offering either some kind of physical or emotional kindness / support during a session would warrant something extra.....one possible situation - the session goes a bit longer....escort says "no worries" / client still wants to provide extra compensation.....honestly, you seem to have a nice following / fanbase on these forums....however you were also the guy a few weeks ago asking if you should accept an appointment that would involve some minimal travel OR should you pass on that appointment, stay home & make 3 times the monetary amount by booking more clients for that same timeframe.....so you approach this, at least in part, like a biz (which is fine)....but then that also leads me to suspect that you don't often go a bit overtime without expecting something in return......if I'm wrong, apologies extended............as I've previously made note on this topic - I pay the requested pricing.....guys who become my "regulars" end up receiving certain kinds of perks & benefits above & beyond.....(one guy currently is calling on both my secretary & my personal assistant for all manner of services & arrangements in his own personal life....the secy & the PA both work their own kind of magic & this guy is using them / relying on them some weeks / months more than I even do.....I'm amused by it because he does it in a really natural, helpless kind of a way)......((secy = straight lady / PA = gay guy....both v v cool / both know the backstory / the score)).

I answered the question regarding tips from the standpoint that the client was going to give a tip regardless. I never anticipate a tip or am upset if one is not received. I go over on time frequently and understand it's my conscious decision to do that with zero expectation to be compensated for that time.

If you're referring to the thread involving travel compensation, I was discussing extended travel (hour each way to a client or so).

All in all I'm very fair, passionate, and understanding with all clients. I'm quite facetious on this forum. Many of my replies can be taken at face value, others are pure sarcasm. In a real world scenario, I'm happy as a clam receiving:

1. Zero additional tip

2. A message thanking me and saying they had fun

3. A request to visit again.

I only "tip" my regulars who i see weekly on their birthdays and christmas. Usually a nice Hermes tie or a Burberry/Loro Piana sweater.

I was asking based on my own habit of giving a tip. I wanted to understand what a good tip is in relation to an hourly rate based on my specification. The great thing about the forum is that no one is usually overly judgemental of others based on the responses. I think you may have looked deeper into my request for information then the meaning. The response was provided to help me understand and not a reflection of anyone's expectations. I feel that tips are a way to show added appreciation for service in the moment. I give pretty good tips to my wait staff and limo guy as well. I am a person that likes to show appreciation in real time in order to get my feeling across at that point in time. I feel apreciation is an all year event not just for special occations. Being somewhat new client, I was curious to what good is just as good for most wait staff is 20% or more. I would agree that good service people do not expect out of the ordinary extras and requested comments in this forum are meant to advisory in nature.

i'm making an assumption that the rate that the escort has asked for is sufficient. The average going rate in NYC is now $300 for the hour. For those men that have become regulars I've taken them out to lunch or dinner for sure or brought some cool things over. And if I'm going to plunk down money for a hotel room Plus the rate then I don't feel that a tip is necessary. I have to know my own budget and what I can afford and take it from there.

I calculate the amount of time that it takes to travel to and from my location / did they uber / cab or not and cover the time involved as well as the transportation costs. I do not consider niceties ( dinner etc) as cash equivalents. I try to cover all costs and time costs expended on my behalf. This is how I tip pros visiting my city. Traveling to me on my request is a whole other game. Am I reading this right? Basic tip is their hourly rate. Plus you for pay travel time. So, if you hire for an hour, and the gentleman has an outcall rate of $300/hour, the total cash you pay the gentleman is $300 for the hour, plus (for ease of calculation, assume 30 minutes travel time each way) $300 for travel, plus $300 (hourly rate) as a tip, plus cost of cab/uber? In other words, $900 to have him meet you for one hour, plus the cost of uber/cab?

You're still quite generous. Good on you! Obviously everyone has different levels of expendable income, but this is a pursuit where generosity is often rewarded.

Not generous really very self serving, I think it fosters an extremely professional experience. I forgot to add that I am a pretty demanding person in terms of being on time , dressed for the occasion, and maintaining the appropriate professional distance. I think the saying goes "we aren't paying them to stay , we are paying them to go away"

No it doesn't. But if you can afford that well you are the man. If I was an escort is be paying to attention do where you live.

Thank you, But I didn't come up with this formula on my own. My first encounter many years ago was Peter hung and he was kind enough to help me understand what a professional escort is worth and if I treat them with respect they will return it. I have great memories of his ability to slip into any situation with me and make it seem like we have been friends forever. Worth a lot in my eyes.
