I've noticed a new trend that is just starting: Providers on Rent Men are now placing their fees / rates in the body of their adverts as part of the ad copy. I think that this idea should catch on as it will save everyone a great deal of time and trouble. Plus, it allows for more detail such as rates for in-call, rates for out-call, rates for extended sessions (multiple hours or overnights or weekends, etc.).

Another trend that seems to be useful and is in its infancy: Providers that accept forms of payment other than cash (debit cars, credit cars, paypal, square, etc.). With an increasingly "cashless" society, accepting other methods of payment seems to me to be both provider and client friendly and advantageous. I know that this topic has been discussed at length before, but times are changing and it may be time for professional providers and their clients to explore alternate/optional forms of payment. One thought is that those clients who tend to hire on a spur-of-the-moment no longer would have to venture out into the night (or whatever) to go to an ATM machine to make a cash withdrawal.

Any thoughts or comments???

From some stories I've read, as a provider I would avoid Paypal. I am speaking of reversed transactions and blocked accounts. I would possibly be bothered by delays, too.

Make it quick, painless, and as discreet as it can be, and I'd be ok with cashless;

but cash is anyway staying my favorite all time.

I've been agonizing over the steady decline of the remaining escort websites for some time now, but recently it seems they've had some pretty knee-jerk reactions to legal issues out there and have started allowing less and less pertinent (but potentially incriminating?) information to remain on their sites. First, I noticed that the In Call, Out Call, and Overnight rates had completely vanished from the website, but I later discovered that you can still see them via the mobile app. That's annoying, but okay. :rolleyes: I can see why maybe RM wants to tuck that info away from the casual glance of those who might use rates as ammunition to start some shit. At least they haven't removed it altogether just yet.

The way it's going, it looks like these sites aren't going to be as brave about supporting sex workers or providing a safe, structured exchange of information between escorts and clients they way they did before Rentboy's demise. It's falling more and more back on the individual escorts or masseurs to either volunteer as much pertinent info into their "About Me" section as they think a client might want/need to know, or to take it upon themselves to maintain that information on their own websites or social media.

It's disappointing for sure. As a client and someone who's more than a little shy about asking a potential escort those types of questions out of the blue, it means it'll be harder than ever to break that ice and make those connections. As another member aptly pointed out, many clients, myself included, often skip right past an escort's ad if he'd answered "Ask Me" to too many pertinent questions. Now it seems they're forcing the rest of you guys to basically default to an "Ask Me", too. :(

If you contact the RM admin, and politely ask for them to "wipe clean" and delete any dollar amount that is possibly posted and still lingering (for some random folks to still see), they will go into your profile and adjust it so that you can rest assured that it's now blank for everyone equally.

I have only accepted payment other than cash one time and it was with an app called Cash App. It worked out very well. As far as placing rates in the body of my advert, seems to work well enough, especially since I put it on the first line, which shows up when people use the Search function.
