how do you post here one of your own pics?....

I wanted to post one pic from my own pics on my laptop, but I don't see the option to do that...

If I go on the pic icon on top it gives me only the option to insert an url of a pic from the internet.

 

Am I dumb and missing something?....(Very possible though!)

No, you're not missing anything. You cannot upload a picture from your laptop directly to the forum. You can upload it to some other image hosting service and then link to where it's been uploaded.

To save space in the server, images are not actually uploaded. All we can do is linking to our posts pictures that are hosted somewhere else in the internet. You should upload your picture to any social network and then you can link it to a post here.

Create a Photobucket account (free) and upload it to there. Then you can create a link to it within a forum post or private message.

Ditto regarding Photobucket. The free version can be a bit finicky but with practice it works. Also a while back I tried posting directly from my iPad and it would not work. You need to be on a computer or at least did at the time. I would think that is still the case.

 

(Incidentally the pic just below of the flogger in my signature is via Photobucket... so it indeed works.)
