Not all do. About half of re ones that come my way are totally legit and know how to expand their business to an under served market.

I think whatever the traveling masseur provides at home is what he provides on the road. So check his ad and see what your radar tells you. My feeling is that a traveling masseur is on the road because they do not have enough business in their hometown. Some might say they do it because they "love to travel". but why would you fly all over the place, rent hotel rooms, and go through all that hassle when you can do it in the comfort of your home? It always boils down to to the fact of lack of business of where they are from. Either because their reputation is not that great at home.....their home market is competitive ( NY, LA, etc)......or they have exhausted their home market and have no business.

I know a couple of guys that are traveling for other purposes (family events, other career), and place an add in hopes of offsetting a hotel room or having something to do rather than sitting in the hotel room alone for the night.

It could just be a cost-offsetting thing for some of them. I know lots of programmers who work remotely and bill hourly so when they travel they usually do some work too.
