Even in Trump Age progress cannot be stopped. Yesterday I used a new website (leafedin.org) to order weed, and the experience was excellent, strong quality stuff delivery to my very door, 15 minutes after I placed my order. These are the things I like of America.

Let's celebrate.

Do you leave in a state in which recreational marijuana is legal? Otherwise, this seems a bit risky.

I kind of do, thanks for the concern though. I live in DC, a very special case, a hybrid. Taxation with no representation, and a limited (progressive) local government under the oversight of Congress (conservative), have led us to a unique situation.

The local government fully approved and regulated medicinal use, and gotten approved by the oversight committee. Then they decided to move forward and expand the legalization to recreational use. The oversight committee was tricked and did not veto the expansion, they have a deadline to do so and they did not meet it. But they did stop the attempt to regulate the commerce and the regulation of public places where to smoke.

So right now it is legal to smoke in your place. It is legal to have up to three active plants in your home and up to three more not yet active, for your personal consumption. It is legal to carry up to 2 Oz. But it is illegal to buy and sell.

Which is creating a creative and very intense marginal market, borderline with illegality. There is plenty of info on line if you are interested. This is the WaPo article that gave me the tip about this new website:

Wow. I can't believe that this dirty little Congress hasn't gotten it hand into this mess.

That is the fear. This is really a booming small business economy. I have a neighbor , a Lesbian sister by the way, who is baking delicious edibles. Like her, there are hundreds, perhaps thousands. The key seems to be discretion. So far they have not gone after the quite, discrete operations. But they did go after the more flamboyant ones.
