Porn/Escort Dads

The thread about James Jamesson, and the news that he's had a child got me to thinking about how many porn actors, maybe bi guys, maybe gay-for-pay, have kids. And I know at least two escorts I've hired were fathers. As a dad coming to terms with my own sexuality, I'm fascinated by others' journeys.

 

Kurt Wild is very open about having many children (one website says 7!). Christian Wilde has made porn with his pregnant wife. Sean Cody's Sean did that MTV special with his wife and kids. Corbin Fisher's Gabe is retired and raising a family. A couple of vintage performers like Michael Christopher and Eric Manchester were rumored to have married and had children.

 

Without prying into personal lives, I wonder about others, escorts or porn performers, who were comfortable sharing the fact that they had kids. And if they comfortably identified as bi, or some other way-- there's an interview on YouTube with Kurt Wild where he only identifies himself as "sexual."

In the 90s, I attended the NobHill Theatre in SF... maybe 6-8 times a year. I would hang around the lobby, or out front, and chat with the dancers. I offered rides when needed, took a few to dinner, etc.

 

There was a dancer, trying to get into porn, Eric Stone. He was hot, and was initially rejected by studios for refusing to shave his body hair. He eventually signed with Falcon. He became a regular headliner at the NobHill, and a real favorite. I chatted with him often. Truly a nice man.

 

He brought his daughter to the theatre with him during one headliner appearance.... so his family knew...

I think these days now that there's no such thing as anonymity they just deal with it. MOST(but by no means all) of these guys aren't looking to go into fields where anyone gives a shit. I'd think for certain jobs, like, say, personal trainer in NYC, a porn career is an asset.

I'd go so far to say as most go-go dancer/escorts at places like Adonis Lounge are straight(ish) and have kids and are doing it for the money, because low wage jobs really simply don't pay the bills these days. Bust your ass 60 hours for $500 or shake your ass two nights for $1000+. I think the people who have that option figure out pretty quick what will pay more.
