Nope. As I understand it, there's not enough capacity on the forum to store images (or enough money to support that capacity may be more a more accurate way of saying it). There are lots of sites where you can upload images and then link to them from here (but don't ask me what they are :p )

Thanks - think I found a site.

If your real name is as it appears in your link above you might want to change your privacy settings on imgbb if your're concerned about your personal privacy.

It is not my real name beyond James, it is the account I used for communication on masseur & escort websites. I set the image album to be only viewible by those that have the link - have I covered myself?

It also protects our host. If he allows image uploads it's another layer of content to monitor as he can be held accountable for the images stored on the server.

Looks like it did

I'm confused. What exactly worked? We could always list URLs to look at pictures. If a specific picture was supposed to appear in the post, then while using my phone, it doesn't seem to have worked.

Since the URL appeared after your picture, I'm thinking you might have used the old way of using HTML to insert it. If you use the picture icon in top the top of the posting box, that pesky URL won't appear in your posts.

I was trying two different ways via photobucket link. I'm experimenting using a private password protected browser for this forum and other browsing. I like it, but it doesn't handle the easy "rich text" default message writer feature here, I'm using plain text editor. Clumsy...but very private

I don't know if this is everyone's experiences on using Photobucket but

1) Probably about a year ago, I was no longer able to use Photobuckets direct linking of pictures into a Forum Post. Previously it had worked great. Then all of a sudden the link was no longer in a form this software could act on. It was some change in Photobucket, I think, because it started adding what looked to me like nonsense HTML.

2) I used to use Photobucket on my phone. I would send someone a picture link and found they could see my entire Photobucket library. Turns out there is some option you can turn off to prevent this. But you have to be on the full website and not the app version to find this option.

Since I was having these kind of problems with Photobucket, I stopped using it and switched to Dropbox.

I like DropBox...but my whole personal and business life is on there!! I never considered it as a picture sharing server, hmmm??? Probably not "arms length" enough for me to use here.

The easiest way I've found is to create a private Tumblr blog. You upload the pics to Tumblr, copy the image address and paste it into the post using the method @Gar1eth described.
