Sorry, but like most of the non-responsive viewers of your original post, I don't have any recent information to offer you or your friend. I last visited Madrid, and that sauna in the mid-00's. I imagine neither of you had any luck with a simple Google search. Have you tried posting this inquiry in the other forum?

I have a friend that is a working boy at Adan. I texted him this morning and he has responded that Adan continues to operate and he still works there. What has closed, according to him, is the Madrid Hustler Bar Black & White. The first time I went to Black & White was about 7 years ago and the standard of the hustlers there was quite high at the time. The last time I went there about a year ago, there were fewer hustlers and none of them were very attractive.

 

Anyway, at least Adan continues to operate.

a quick update; Adan is still going strong; popped in yesterday and within 15 mins had met a hot bodybuilder type from Colombia (swears he likes daddy bears and given how quickly he got a stiffy when i tweaked his nipple, i'd guess he's not lying), talk dark and handsome Romanian, super sweet futbol player type from Venzuela with an endowment you had to see to believe. and a german dom who had brought along some equipment for use in the scene ... and there were another half dozen others ... entry is still 14 euros; 50 euros to play, 80 if you want them to come for you ... yes it is run down, but the dry sauna was great ... steam room was steamy ... cabins are free (there are larger rooms if you wish to entertain more than one guy ... 5 euro charge to the house) ... showers are good and hot for cleaning up after y0u play!

My request was a general one to anyone who has been to both venues. I have been to Thermas many times on 2 visits to Barcelona but I am interested in comments from anyone who has also been to Adan and how it compares with Thermas.

I went to Adan a couple years ago during the week and I didn't like it compared to Thermas. Only one semi cute guy there and he screwed me over. I've never had problems at Thermas. This escort told me $50 for a massage and I said, no, so he said $50 for fucking, so I finally said sure. Then he was fucking me and he said "I'm going to cum" so I said "ok" and then he charged me another $50. That has never happened at Thermas. Luckily I had another $50 on me, but if I hadn't I don't know what would have happened.

These “misunderstandings “ and outright demands for more money are not exactly unknown at rent boy saunas. I had a very nasty episode at Lagoa, São Paulo some years ago. A less unsavoury episode occurred at the now defunct Rogers on Rio on one occasion. Considering the number of times I have been to Brazil (9 times) and Barcelona twice with countless visits to the rent boy saunas these unsavoury episodes should be put in perspective. I have a policy of writing down the amount agreed making sure it’s in the local currency and go from there. It will not eliminate all potential difficulties from the unscrupulous but will minimise potential difficulties.

Adan is substandard with uninteresting rentboys. In 5 visits in May totalling about 10 hours I found one attractive fellow. I was stunned at the poor quality compared to Thermas (Barcelona) but I like the Adan neighborhood better ... Malasaña.
