What's best is that Will is a really sweet guy on top of being handsome. He's been a friend of mine since his days working news media in South Texas.

I sadly agree. I think of this every time I see Anderson Cooper trading recipes with Kelly Rippa, or George Stephanopolous interviewing the rock star du jour. Just the other day I was trying to picture Cronkite stooping to that.

It's why I listen to Dan Rather on XM. He's 85 and still sharp as a tack. In many ways, he's a throwback to the 'Good Night and Good Luck' days.
