Actually, I'm aware of at least three. No doubt there are more.

 

I'm sorry others seemingly trivialized this issue. I agree with BGIP; this is an important issue. So many great people have been lost to HIV. No matter how you slice it, people could pay for this behavior with their lives. That's wrong.

Several of them, actually. There are some that feature unknown twinks, but there are others that prey on pornstars who are in the last gasp of their "15 minutes" and offer them big bucks to extend it a little bit.

 

Sadly, they're taking a big enough bite out of the mainstream studios' income that we'll probably soon see a world where safer sex in porn is unusual. The studios WILL bow to market pressure. They'll have no choice.

 

Currently, only Chi Chi LaRue, Falcon, and Titan are openly anti-barebacking. The other studios are fairly non-commital.

I was questioning whether or not to even respond, but I figured I'd voice my opinion.... take it for what it's worth.

 

First off, porn/adult film is very much a fantasy. I know a lot of people that like to watch BB porn because that is an area of sex that they do not participate in and enjoy watching it as fantasy. With that being said, making porn is NOT fantasy, it is real. And yes diseases may be passing themselves along just as you watch that movie.

 

Participating in BB sex, be it in porn, escorting, or personal encounters, is entirely up to the participants. And YES, I will agree that some people are very naive about STDs... and YES, I'll agree that some people are so cracked out of their minds that they don't even know what's being shoved in them.

 

My biggest concern is the ignorance involved with HIV and it's behavior. Some POZ people don't realize that strains of HIV vary, and you can be infected multiple times and have a variety of viruses, i.e., it's not just POZ or NEG... you can be POZ with a variety of strains which may require additional medications... sadly, multiple strains increases chances of fatality as well as decreasing life expectancy. Further, and no I won't ask you to do math, if someone has multiple strains and has unprotected sex, they can be potentially spreading these strains exponentially. For example, two POZ guys practice BB sex... chances are that their strains may be different, and if spread back and forth, now both guys have 2 strains... let's repeat the scenario but add in 20 guys... and they BB 20 guys, and those guys BB 20 guys. That's a LOT of strains of HIV being passed around... and ultimately creating super-viruses of HIV. Scary.

 

So, what's my point? I'm not sure. All I know is that education is key here. And perhaps if people knew more about it, they wouldn't partake is such reckless acts. I don't know what goes through the minds of POZ guys and I won't presume to know. But it saddens me to think that they might feel their existence to be bleak and short and cursed, and I can only offer sympathy to those who choose a path of self-destruction and the destruction of others.

 

Lastly, and more to the original posting... I have tried to contact Dawson several times, he lives down the street from me. I wanted to talk to him about porn, and he wanted to talk to me about escorting. That conversation/meeting never occurred. The most recent info I have is from the local gay rag saying that Dawson will be shooting another flick here in Boston and that local casting was underway.

i have dawson's 20 load wee kend and sloppy etc. the first movie was quite tastefully done , with nice looking dudes , a nice mixture and even a black top, something very rare for treasure islandmedia who mainly uses white daddies and sons.
