Alright I was doing a search on Google on Mae West and this is something odd I found http://curezone.com/art/read.asp?ID=35&db=5&C0=818 How it relates to her other then the name I have no idea. Did she really give herself coffee enimas (shudders at the thought). But hmmm interesting way to get your coffee fix in the morning and get cleaned out.

I remember reading that Mae West was big into enemas as part of her health regiem (as fresh at one end as the other). Also, some bizzare cancer clinics in Mexico used to give coffee enemas as a method of curing their cancer (Steve McQueen took them). Some fucked up friends of mine at school are into vodka enemas because they think it gets into their system faster. What the fuck? I mean, you're drinking the stuff...how much faster do you need it? And besides, all those olives would get caught in my sphincter!!!

Also interesting when you Google your address, home phone number, or similar information that you "think" might be private.

One I am not sure how private ones isp address is but here is a little story. I am a moderator in a chat room and myself and one of the other moderators were having some fun kicking each other. Now after two kicks one is permantly banned which happend to me. To get myself unbanned the owner of the chat room needed my isp address which I did not have and my cable company was closed for the weekend. So to find my isp address one of the moderators told me to google it. And guess what there is was! In all its glory right before my pretty brown eyes. I couldn't belive just by typing what is my isp address it would pop up. Try it if you don't believe me.

Greg, Google has a program called Google desktop. It acts like a web search but is directed specifically to your pc. If you google for instance, your name, everything on your pc that contains your name will come up in the search. I have attached a link for your study. Perhaps you have it and dont know it. It is a great tool.

A Mae West question is actually appropriate today, of all days.

 

I just heard on the news that the inventor of those inflatable floatation vests pilots (and passengers) in airplanes use died. Navy pilots nicknamed those vests the "Mae West" because of the way they inflate. ;-)

Yeah, she pretty much was, although I wasn't much part of the generation that venerated her. She always had bodybuilders in her stage act as I recall reading, which would have gotten her gay attention, for sure.

 

She did only a couple of color pictures. Sextette (1978) garnered this review: "An amazing stab at her old metier by an 86-year-old ex-star. It doesn't work, of course, and most of it is embarassing, but the attempt is in itself remarkable." Her stuff is pretty tame now but apparently back in the 20's and 30's she had 'em wide-eyed in shock.

 

I do remember that when I lived in LA, she REALLY DID have her name & number listed in the phone book, even after she died.
