Make sure you are comparing apples to apples when calculating hotel costs. Many hotels have hidden “resort fees”. Parking fees are becoming more common.

This is the desert! Temperatures will likely hit 100’s regularly by the middle of May. But it is a dry heat and buildings are air conditioned. Evenings will be pleasant. Stay hydrated and invest in sunblock and a hat. If arriving by car make sure it has been serviced for hot temperatures. Check tire pressure and coolant. Always carry extra water for drinking!
