Just wondering where the bois who hung out at Stella's or worked at the Gaiety are hanging out these days. Heading to NYC this weekend and wondering where to hang out now...any suggestions or info appreciated. Thanks!

the boys are moving to the internet. rentboy now has 322 listings for new york; before the gaiety closed it was below 300!

perhaps there will be a virtual gaiety site with escort listings, web cam shows, message boards, etc.

Joel304 is taking them all to Hawaii with him, since he cant decide on just one...I applaud Joel on his decision, finally, just to let it all hang out...He's such a Mary at times........

I noticed that on the news part of the New Reviews site, there's an announcement about the Gaiety closing that includes a photo of a sign that, I suppose, was posted on the theatre's door. The sign says, "watch G. publications for possible relocation information".

So I guess it's possible that the Gaiety will reopen elsewhere. Anyone know more?

Under the Strip clubs section several have posted its over, done, never again....

I however see it diffrent, It was reported that all of the equipment was moved out over the past few days, I was there on the last night and witnessed all of the records, signs and other contents being boxed for storage.....

Why pay to cart out old seats and things never to be used again unless you have a plan!!

I suspect Denise is seeing an alternative location to reopen..She might have a trick up her sleeve!!

I hope !

As Far as Denise's "Scrawled Note " on the front door, signed "The Management" I wouldn't spend the rest of your life, looking for the Gaiety being mentioned, Anymore,Anywhere, except here...Some of the Guys have moved on to Rentboy..Where they will probably do better Financially, than they did from the Customers at the Gaiety..Being as how their Skeds WILL BE OPEN..BUT their "EXHIBIONIST" sides unfortunately will not be made Happy Anymore! LOL LOL OR probably any Bar where they can make a buck! 50% will probably "Rarely" cross the Canadian border again..Unless they are Imported! :+ :+ :+

I've heard that some of the guys may be hanging out at that odd bar that's wedged under the Port Authority bus terminal on 41st (?) Street (the one that runs underneath the terminal). It used to be called the Savoy and at one time featured some amusing big-dick contests. Does anybody know what it's called now and if there's any truth to the rumor?

Ditto for whether a number of the guys are now frequenting La Escuelita?

Poor Guys! If they are hanging out under the P.A. Bus Terminal I think their $250 an hr days are over. Last I read you could get a B/J for $20 Bucks, and all the STD'S you could Handle, this while holding on to your wallet between your teeth! LOL LOL :+ :+ :+

A guy from Brooklyn told me recently that La Escue... is closed, too! During dinner while in SDQ, I asked him about venues that I'd always yearned to enter: Stella's, La E..., and The Gaiety when I visited NYC.

Try La Fleur's (the bar mentioned in Port Authority); its on 41st Street and the corner of 9th Avenue. Not a bad place.

Try also walking up and down Eighth Avenue (between 42nd and 50th Streets); the Port Authority terminal, at least lately, has had some good offerings

Sadly, the closing of Stella's and the "G" are sad developments, but business will definitely go on. Just be patient and look around.

Good Luck

Yes, LaFleur's on 41st Street...also, I'm sure at Escualita's on 39th. I've never been there but I've heard that hot escort types hang out at the Townhouse (no dancing there) on the East side, also O.W. (Oscar Wilde Bar) on the east side (yes to dancing) also Rawhide on 8th Avenue in the 20s or 30s (yes, they have two dancers) and, of course, Rick's apartment.

Has anyone been to the new bar that's gay on Saturday night located on 40th between 9th & 10th? I think it's called Siberia or something like that. Also, I've heard there's a new gay bar opening on 9th Avenue called the Belvidere or Bellevue (appropriate) or somthing like that.

If Cathy from Stella's had a brain in her head she would close that tired cabaret bar and turn it into an actual strip club like The Gaiety.

Manhattan needs a strip club by men, for men, with men. Won't you join our cause? All is takes is some money and greasy hands and you've got a chorus line men with big shiny dicks and warm personalities who need an artistic outlet. Discover the excitement today!! :7
