Shoveling's not so bad in November or December, but by March ... been there, done that.

 

So I've been trying to think of a good indoor activity to celebrate Daylight Savings Time. I notice it happens to coincide with the shared birthday of Aaron Eckhart and Jake Tapper, so I'm thinking threesome.

While I hate losing an hour of sleep, I adore the long evenings that come with DST. In my case it means that when I return from the office, I can take my dog for a long walk. We usually end up at a nearby park where other people bring their dogs and my girl gets both a walk and some canine social time, I get a chance to catch up with my neighbors, I love it.

My sister does not she resents that it is still dark when she rises for the first month or so of DST.

I am an owl, she is a lark- I have found that opinions regarding DST often seem to depend if you are up with the dawn, or tend to be more nocturnal.

Overall I like the side effects of DST. However, I am also one of those people that loves clocks and has quite a few. Not sure why. So it takes weeks to catch up changing hands on clocks to catch up (or slow down in the other direction in the fall).
