The regularly scheduled meeting will be Thursday the 24th, hopefully there will be a couple new special guests, and hopefully the count will be more accurate this time. I don't know how Tony can stand us (and then I see the bill at the end of the meal... ;o).

It'll be at Numbers, starting around 7:30/8.

Everybody is welcome!!

Please let us know if you're considering showing up by posting to this thread or emailing me at [email protected]

Usual info:

Numbers is at 8741 Santa Monica BLVD, above the Coffee Bean in West Hollywood. Parking is usually pretty easy at the public lot across from the magazine stand on the west side of the building (bring quarters). There's also a valet.

People start gathering outside Numbers (upstairs, usually near the elevators) around 7-7:30 (generally we're the only gathering of more then 3 at the outside tables), we wander inside about 8 and SIT IN THE BACK, NEAR THE WINDOWS, other side of the wall from the restrooms... Don't be shy, jump in! Tony, the owner, knows the name Hooville (or, as he refers to us, "that group that never knows how many it's going to be") if you have to make sure...

Hope to see you there!

Just a bit of a bump. Working on special guests but no firm commitments yet (reminder to those in the know: please allow guests, especially 'working' ones, to reveal their participation themselves).

Hi all. I just spoke with Vincent #2, reviewed today by SilverDollar, and invited him to the monthly meeting at Numbers. He seemed pleased to be invited and assured me that he would be there. He will be a stunning addition.

JamesK and all LA Hoovillians:

DAMN! DAMN!

I was hoping to show my face at the next LA meeting (and bring Dirk, Grant, or a coupla other of my LA hotties), and drink a toast to HooBoy. But I will be fleeing Palm Springs before the "boiz in white" take over this town! So I'll be in SF from Thurs till Monday.x(

I will try to make it to LA for the next meeting -- and will keep my eyes open for all announcements.

I'm going to try to be there. For once, I don't have to work on Friday.

I'll be completely at the mercy of the 405 with all the rain expected this week, but I'll give it a try!

Ordinarily I take Laurel Canyon, but that still means crossing the 405/101 intersection which can be hell in itself. I've seen it take a half hour to go two miles there alone. :-( I've also had success going thru Malibu Canyon to PCH, and working my way up from the LAX area.

With the canyons closed from mudslides (or unpredictable), the 405 to Sunset or SMB is about all that's left. Or the Hollywood freeway on the other side, which isn't any better. <shrug>

I didn't get out of the office last night until around 8:30. How'd it go?
