Wow that ending was horrible. Preachy, sanctimonious and ultimately really unsatisfying, for me anyway. Turned a private act of love, longing and regret into something else. The "I did it without him and you spent your life looking for the wrong thing" minimizes the man leading the search, the work that got her there and her lost love, Jack. Good choice to leave this on the cutting room floor.

Lawrence O'Donnell gave a touching tribute to Bill Paxton on his MSNBC show last night. I guess he and Paxton had worked together on the HBO show "Big Love." O'Donnell became literally choked up when he was describing Paxton's life and Paxton's wonderful way of relating to people. That was very unusual for O'Donnell.
