I didn't say that my original question was a joke, but you went off on some tangent about people living in small towns and the whole coming out process (of which I am well aware, having helped quite a few guys through it myself), which really had nothing to do with my question about why it was courageous to post anonymously here. And BB Pro has said himself that it wasn't courageous at all.

I disagree that my answer had nothing to with your question. BB Pro has responded with good humor to the various posts in this thread and that's great. But not all posters are alike and some guys -- especially guys in situations like small towns and conservative industries -- can find it nerve-wracking when they start posting, even if it is anonymously. And I think it's easy, sometimes, to overlook that.

I had doubts about whether you were really a pro baseball player, still do. But, your comments about screwing women and men makes it much more possible to live the kind of life you described in your first posting.

 

If you openly date women and love doing so as much as you say, your team mates have little reason to suspect that you are fucking a guy when you disappear for a morning now and then.

This thread, In my opinion, has run a-ground and sadly, prior to its departure, there were no emergency exit drills to protect those that might perhaps have wanted to escape from imposters or wanna be's....just my humble opinion. I know, I'm new, but tolerance towards self promoting fantasies is something I outgrew a few years ago....

He has often dropped out for weeks at a time so I don't find his absence abnormal. Refreshing, yes, but not abnormal.
