Most reviews are 5 stars, and very few are 1 star, almost none between 2 stars to 4 stars.

It drives me to think about the reason, and I guess it might be due to human beings's mentality.

When you meet something very good, you have an urge to share it with other people or express your happiness or gratitude. When you have a very bad experience, you want to show your anger or warn other people.

So those escorts without a review for a very long time might be this type, who delivers an acceptable service but no highlight at all. People might feel a little bit unsatisfactory, but think it unworthy or seem fussy to complain about it.

I believe there are a lot of reasons, but I guess what I post is one of them.

Escorts generally delete unfavourable reviews, thus they are very uncommon. Additionally, most people understand that anything less than 5* is effectively a failure (this is true with almost all customer service surveys), and so it would generally require something to go very wrong for somebody to post a review with less than 5*.

I completely agree with you. If you look at Yelp or Foursquare you will see the same thing. Many (most?) reviews either rave about how much the reviewer LOOOOOOOOVVVVVED the place or they rant about how they hated it so much they want to burn the place down.

Also very true. It feels like we have been conditioned to think (or at least say we think) that every interaction must be excellent and beyond compare. Good isn't good - it must be great.

Why does the website allow escorts to delete reviews? I think it is very unfair. It only makes people not to believe the reviews any more.

And not to change the subject, but I also think it's a major reason why standing ovations have become so de facto at musicals/plays, etc. Consciously or not, audiences want to feel they've validated that they just saw "the BEST show..."

And of course we also now have a president who speaks in extremes - everything is either "the best" or "a disaster." But yes - the point is, it's not just him - it's something society does.

just so they don't use the word "amazing" ;)......(so sick of the overuse of that word these days)

when I see a long string of five-star reviews on yelp et al - and then a three- or four-star review suddenly - I feel I have to open that review and see what the hell the problem was.....it's often pretty innocuous....the reviewers' writing styles and apparent education levels can also be a clue to whether the review is really valid/worthy or not.....

I didn't know escorts can delete reviews. I have twenty 5 star reviews but only those clients and I know why. What's wrong with an interested client sending messages to some of the reviewers and just asking for details? There are ways to tell which clients are legit and which are less reliable just from THEIR profile page. It is kind of irritating to know that my reviews are for very good reason but are considered completely unhelpful by many.

Should I stop asking clients to review me when they send me a message after we have met saying how much they enjoyed it?

I always wonder about Rentmen reviews too but I agree that it's good to be able to contact the reviewer if you want to ask more info about their experience. Sometimes that can be really helpful.

I am very curious to see what others think is wrong with this approach. I understand that there is a lot of mistrust of rentmen but it has been so great for me, I hope that whatever the client community does not like will be addressed.

I find it helpful to reach out to the reviewers via Rentmen and get their detailed feedback. Not all respond, but enough do that I can normally make a better informed decision.

I also like that many reviews now have detailed comments, but I am not sure that you guys can see those comments in the US.

It won't help a lot, many comments are just sweet nothing without any details.

Well, a few clients have shared with me what they wrote in these comments that can't be seen and I would be very happy for them to be. :)

Anyway, when it comes down to it, I just do everything possible to give each client the best experience he's ever had and assume doing that and achieving maximum exposure, for the most part, are all I really need to do to continue being successful in this.

Wow. I need to up my game. I just say I'll do my best so you don't feel like you're wasting your time.

Oh. I almost always ask a client before we meet to agree to sending me a message after we meet telling me that it was as great an experience as they could have hoped it would be. I love getting those messages, so I try very hard to justify them. ;)

As long as rentmen allows escorts to delete reviews (favorable or unfavorable) ALL reviews on the site are, in my opinion, WORTHLESS.

I rely on reviews on THIS site BUT only when the reviewers self description mirrors somewhat my own. If the reviewer is a 40 year old stud it is definitely possible that the escorts will relate to me at 76 differently. I frequently find the description of the reviewer more helpful than the actual review.

Well, I guess having only 5 star reviews at least tells ME that I am doing something right. It may not be possible for a client to know if I have deleted any reviews, but at least when I look at my reviews I know they are justified.

I don't even know how to delete a review, but maybe it just never occurred to me, because I have never had a review I did not want to be seen. In my case, though, I think relying on reviews or reviewers is not really necessary at all. There is no risk in meeting me and seeing for yourself. I would never accept any money if the client did not feel it was worth every penny he is offering. I always assume that if the client is not happy, I am not going to get anything.

I totally agree, though, that who the reviewer is can be more helpful than the review itself.

This has been mentioned here before, but you can use a proxy service based outside the US to read the review comments at RM. I used https://hide.me (click the "Free Proxy" link to go to a page where you can enter the URL you want to view). Keep in mind the form for submitting reviews implies these messages are only seen by RM staff, so they can read a little odd sometimes.

That reminds me of the guys who post videos of them fucking another hot guy. All it's saying to me is look at what I'd much more prefer. Your experience may differ.

That is really interesting. I never thought of it that way! I wonder if many clients would feel that way. I don't have such a video, but you make a very interesting point.

This is NOT true. Escorts can't delete reviews. I believe you may be confusing a prior mentioned Rentmen policy of possibly having a negative review deleted if you are a new escort posting a profile on Rentmen and you have not yet accumulated any positive reviews yet. However, after you've begun receiving reviews, the escort is free game to receive negative reviews and they can NOT be removed.
