On 1/31/1606 Guy Fawkes convicted of treason in England for his part in the "Gunpowder Plot" against the English Parliament and King James I was executed. And we think we have political worries in America!

Yes back then you actually had to try and Blow Up a Government building, nowadays all you need to do is resemble someone who the powers that be think might cause a problem to be on the government's radar.

Then they had to actually capture you. Now we just get a drone and execute you (foreign national or American citizen or 8-year old girl). It's not 1606 any more.
