i had this happen at my most recent meeting. It's someone on RentMen that I've been eyeing for a while. His photos and stats were hot, I reached out to someone on here who had experience and they said I would not be disappointed. All in all, I wasn't disappointed but the photos were not the person with whom I met. Don't get me wrong he was attractive (and packing) but he was a wholly different person, really the only similarity between him and the guy in the photos was the same color hair and eyes.

I did have a good time and I think I probably would have contacted him if he had used his real pics. I'm just confused as to why someone would do it, but really want to ask has this happened to anyone else and what's the way you've reacted?

I would imagine that since he had the same color eyes and hair that he was giving you a picture of an IDEA of what he looked like. Doesn't make it right, but honestly if i'm still attracted to the guy I will ignore the fake pictures. This happened with the infamous Justin Baylor. There have been many threads about him and for awhile he posted a picture that was not him. But when I met him in person, I thought he was hotter than whoever the guy in the pic was.

these goddamn deceptive forum members who continue to spread malicious information need to be rooted out......just another reason to have a "reviewing the reviewers" subforum......

I would not walk out from an appointment if the guy is attractive but not the one in the pictures. I mean, I may if he is not attractive enough, but not necessarily.

One of my favorite regulars was not the guy in the pictures, however I have enjoyed his company for, more than two years now.

You liked the guy, you had a good time together. Forgive the stolen pictures.

no revelation here, but some escorts deliberately use others' pictures only in an effort to keep their own ID secret, not to be deliberately deceptive .....it is hoped, of course, that the escort is at least as in-shape and good-looking as the lucky (?!) guy whose pictures he chose to use.....

if there is doubt, polite pre-meet discussion and/or a coffee meet may erase that doubt, in one way or the other.....

A big problem with using photos that aren’t yours is that the “borrower” may have a totally different perception of what they look like. It’s like your own voice - just listen to a recording of yourself. The same goes for your appearance. Even though mirrors exist!

If the service being provided is more of a “sideline” there can be understandable reasons for not wanting a “real” picture out there. Thus, for these types of providers, I can accept a borrowed photo if the similarity is quite accurate. But this “similarity” is in the eye of the beholder - not the “borrower”. And they should only be used to elicit that initial inquiry from the client. Then the provider would be wise to be honest when replying.

If you are going to borrow a picture you should have a third party do the photo vetting. You should also be very careful not to infringe on the rights and privacy of the person whose picture is borrowed.

Now I’m an old curmudgeon and think of myself as a mixture of Grumpy, Doc and Dopey (the cartoon characters). But a third party would likely see me more as the Handsome Prince. Now if you believe that fairy tale I have this bridge….

LOL. What part of, "escorts deliberately use others' pictures only in an effort to keep their own ID secret" is NOT deliberately deceptive?

LOL. The part that says, "in an effort to keep their own ID secret".

I'm not entirely endorsing the practice, but only trying to explain a possible reason for it

This would be my answer.
