With much respect for my good friend Mr. Mooney I wish to point out a glaring omission... unless he is the subject of pics numbers 3 and 4 which come up as "Forbidden" on my iPad! ;)

Not so much an oversight as fear of overkill, WG, since I recently included a pic of Liberace in the Gallery thread For MEN Who Like MEN ... and BEER ...

 

... and I'm not sure how much Liberace anyone can take.

 

Sorry you can't see 3 and 4; they open for me on both my desktop and laptop, but I have noticed that sometimes an image will open on one device and not on another. I am not cyber-smart enough to understand why.

Well I hesitated to post about Lib, but you know me always ready for a laugh. Fortunately for many Liberace is slowing fading from memory and others have no idea who he was. As a pianist that's a good thing.

 

As for 3 & 4, I can't figure out that either... but cyber stuff happens. However, I'll just use my wild imagination. Perhaps even the damper or una corda are involved! :eek:

3 and 4 still won't open on my iPad using Safari or Chrome. I rarely use my laptop PC these day, but I needed to work on some spreadsheets so I checked things out and both opened. So a cyber mystery.

 

In any event, it was good to see that the entire range of the keyboard was utilized. That often is not the case.

 

At any rate, I suddenly have an urge to tickle the ivories... ;) Will check back later...

So, Lib played on a jewel-encrusted Baldwin (looks like at least 9'), and the hexagonal pattern on number 15's briefs is compatible with Yamaha's logo for woodwinds these days (3 tuning forks at 120 degrees, looking somewhat hexagonal). But I wasn't able to make out the marks on any of the other pianos ... Anybody with sharper eyes than me?

I could not read the fine print either other than that guy number 15 (with the Yamaha like logo on his briefs) is indeed seated at a Yamaha. However, I am totally fascinated with the piano in number 20 shown below. I am guessing that it is a very late 19th or early 20th Century model. I'm basing this on the lack of ornate design for the legs of the instrument. Compare below with an early 20th century model.
