and I have a few questions...

1) Can anybody who saw the trailers on TV give a guess what they think the movie is about ? Apparently, I did not watch the trailers closely enough, and the movie turned out to be about something totally different than I thought.

2) Christina Ricci - is she Albanian/Albanian descent ? I always though she was Italian, but my friend says Albanian.

There was also a little gay interaction that was pretty cool...if ya like dumb horror movies with killings, then its a must !!!

noviceny: Christina Ricci is Italian, according to this " Christina Ricci is Italian, as are Monica Bellucci & Annabella Sciorra (she was in that movie “Jungle Fever.") These women vary in looks, but they are all Italian..." from http://christinaricci.newstrove.com/

She did however, play an Albanian on a SNL skit back in 1999, where she was a contestant on "Who Wants to Eat" a spoof of Regis' "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" The skit was quite funny. The million dollar question if answered correctly won her a big bag or rice.

Athan and Queeries,

Now I feel like a big asshole !!! Yup, its about werewolves...did you guys see that on the commercials ? I swear that I thought it was about some kids being cursed, but I didnt know it was the curse of getting bit by a werewolf. I hope I get to see the commercial again, cause I feel really stupid !! I didnt see any wolves in the damn commercial, but then again I never really watch TV...I always am on the computer or doing something else, unless its a movie.

Novice,

I thought The Aviator did an excellent job of showing the progression of Hugh's decent into bi polar behavior...really its a core plot line.

Well while he is decending, there are a few good shots of his bare butt - Good butt - I thought it would be kinda flabby, but was pleased to see there was some mass to it and it looked to be quite muscular.

Just thought I'd throw this in for all the rim queens out there!

Don't worry about it, the first time I saw the trailer I, too, thought it about a random curse...then I saw another trailer and I thought it was about vampires, then I saw an interview with the cast and they said it was about werewolves. :p hehehehe, I cheated. ;)

lol - I'm a big horror movie fan(although less so in recent years) and I didn't realize from the TV trailers that it was about werewolves either, until I heard a comment elsewhere. In hindsight, the pentagram on the palm probably should have given it away (shades of "The Wolfman") and the transforming torso also reminds me of more recent (relatively speaking) werewolf movies (e.g.' "An American Werewolf in London", etc).

I saw this movie two nights ago. All I can say is this film is absolutely pathetic, from start to finish. This is not Wes Craven's finest hour as a director of a genre of movies that he helped nurture twenty years ago with " Nightmare On Elm Street ".

Cursed is all over the place, in certain scenes there are bits of tension which are never nurtured. Then are other scenes where comedy is applied and it just doesn't work. I suppose the only redeeming quality was watching Jesse Eisenberg on film. It's just hard to fathom why someone bothered to write a movie like " Cursed ". The film is just plain simple crap.

In recent weeks, there haven't been too many films that have opened up to stellar reviews. If you want to spend your money on worth while films. Watch a movie like Clint Eastwood's " Million Dollar Baby " or even Taylor Hackford's " Ray ". I'd even through in " Sideways ".

I hope someone in Hollywood makes a public apology for wanting to make a movie like " Cursed ". Just as Michael J Fox apologised for " When Mars Attacks " in 1996. If there is ever a DVD version for " Cursed ". I hope someone asks what in the hell was Wes Craven thinking when he took on this project. Perhaps he is trying to dig himself a ditch. I dont know anymore why film makers like Wes Craven want to carry on in a genre that no longer has mass appeal as it did twenty or even ten years ago with " Scream ". I'm sure he and John Carpenter now have lots to talk about.

Athan,

I pretty much had the same relizations as you, but never got to hear a review...thanks though :-)

And of course it couldnt hold a candle to American Werewolf in London.

However, I did enjoy American Werewolf in Paris. Anything with cool monsters and attack scenes gallor and Im happy

So many movies, so little enthusiasm for actually going out and seeing them... I have seen the ads for "Cursed", and no, there's no indication that wolves, "Were" or otherwise, are involved. However, to become a werewolf is considered a curse, after all, so the title is appropriate, I guess. Although I wouldn't mind a few weeks as a werewolf, personally... especially if I coud have a few moments in a dark forest with (name your favorite escort here), doggy-style (Bow-wow-wow, Yippy-yo yippy-yay!)

The point of seeing this film is because Christina Ricci is in it. As a anonymous music critic once said, "This is a bad album. But, it is by Joan Baez, and I personally love Joan Baez, so I must say something nice bout it."

'Tis the same with La Ricci. Italian or Albanian, she is our dear Wednesday.

I don't know how this post switched from "Cursed" to "The Aviator", but since I was not in Howard Hughes' will, I really don't give a damn. I saw my neighbor go bi-polar, so I really don't need to see it on the big screen.

Trixie,

Yeah, would love to have werewolf powers too...The movie made it seem like there really wasnt a down side to it, and the main guy had control of his lycanthropic changes (yea what !!!! mothafuckers!!! I do know big words !!!! ) so he seemed to be chillin

The huge gains in physical strength and the fact that others would be abnormally sexually attracted to me are my favorites. How sick would it be to go in to the gym, put on 4 plates for bench, and have the biggest guy there spot you for your "warm up."
