The nydaily link provides more interesting details..."He had a whole posse of handsome, young guys, mostly Latinos,” he said. “Really handsome guys, well built, lots of tattoos. They were crashing there (in Zabar's apartment).”

 

Scary that someone as innocuous as a masseur or a massage appointment could lead to this...that, and the fact that this occurred whilst the victim's roommate was also in the apartment (at least that is how I read the article). Another article says that the masseur had a sexual relationship, then shouldn't he be considered an "escort"?

Based on the article I read (the first one linked), the picture seems a bit more complicated than a masseur killing this guy. Sounds like he hired many different guys to have sex with and use drugs with. I'm not saying that anyone deserves to be killed because he uses drugs, but getting f'd up with someone who's only there for the drugs and money seems like high risk behavior to me.
