It's funny, I was just talking about this to Brandon Michaels this weekend (spent the weekend with him in Long Beach). I feel for you! Since I started escorting again I have had more flakes than the entire time I was escorting before. :p Perhaps it is because we are now into the year of the CHICKEN!! :p (or Cock...which can be translated to the year of the DICK! hehehehe)

>On a side note I am tired of all

>the negative personas that sink this MC down…But what gets me

>about them being so negative is that they strike me as the

>type of person to be nice to your face and then say something

>negative after the fact.

This is another thing I was talking to Brandon about! :p I think it has allot to do with trust. Usually when people post (or talk to each other) they have a certain level of trust that no one will "rip them a new one" just for posting (or talking). Unfortunately this is rarely the case. The same goes with two faced people...we trust that people will be consistant in their words, behavior and actions...again, this is rarely the case. So, because we have trust in others we are constantly disappointed.

My way of thinking is to not have trust in others but to have trust in yourself. Trust that no matter how anyone else acts, no matter what they say that you will always stay constant and consistant with your intentions. In this, you will less likely feel disappointed for you have control over yourself.

Also, when you trust yourself to remain constant and consistant with your intentions then trust for others becomes pointless. You don't have to trust them because you trust in your abilty to adapt. It is always nice when people are trustworthy, of course, but it no longer becomes an important part of your experience with others (it becomes a delightful surprise when it occurs). ;)

An interesting corolary to Athan's response to this post it that many of us assume that other people are like ourselves. Thus if we are honest, forthright, trusting, dependable, kind, and loving we expect that others will be so as well. I am totally aware that this attitude is naive but even at my age, 64, I prefer to approach the world in this manner. If I get burned I deal more cautiously with that person or situation in the future BUT I absolutely refuse to become a bitter, cycnical or old curumudgeon like some posters around here. Vincent there is absolutely nothing wrong in being disappointed with people now and then BUT just don't let the loosers of the world get you down for long because if you do they win and asshole don't deserve to win.

One face, one tongue

Vincent,

I know the world is filled with all kinds of people and yes some are flakes. Clients can cancel for all kinds of reasons including inhibition, anxiety, thoughtlessness, and just plain flakiness.

Let me just say that if you come to Los Angeles, I will use my one face and tongue to try and make you feel better...,,,}(

WOW! I'm not sure what your problem is, but either you agree with

bigpeteratlanta when he told Michael that he is too young to have feelings or you misread my post and engaged your mouth and brain a lot sooner than your enter key!

I was merely telling bigpeteratlanta that his post (to young to have feelings) was stupid and it was.

So get with the program--follow the numbers before hitting the keyboard and poor defenseless skunks ;(

Below is the post I was replying to:

Actually, flower, your original response called "bigpeteratlanta" stupid, not his post. Perhaps you meant to criticize his post, but that's not how it came out.

I agree with FL, in that I find your response, in particular the use of the word "stupid" to be offensive to the person you responded to.

And your followup response does little to mitigate the original offending post.

When I read BPA's original reply, I thought he was referring to Vincent Michael being too young to be jaded by what happened to him; I didn't get the impression that BPA was intimating that VM should have no emotions at all, because of his age, whether it be emotional or chronological.

That's just MY read on the situation. Of course, this diverted portion of the thread does tend to validate VM's original premise.

I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean to say that you flew to meet a client and paid for the airfare on your own dime? In the future, I wouldn't fly out to meet someone unless he was willing to pay for the airfare upfront (especially if you haven't met him previously!). :(

Flakes a plenty! Athen your right but I am no longer bothered about the flake situation honestly because there is nothing I can do about it and my feelings are now vented.

I think something that is getting me is the fact that there are so many people in this world who could look you in the eyes and tell you it is a pleasure to see you yet at the same moment only with for my death.

I just wish people could be loving and honest about everything...

Did I fly to meet someone and they not meet me? No I did not however; I have had a few things go wrong…What the old adage when it rains it pours?

I trust to much yes I have to say this is a true statement and have I gotten hurt because of my honest trusting self? Oh hell yes but I can’t change I am simple going to keep being me!

Has anyone noticed that VM's spelling improves greatly when he is pissed off!

You should see me personal journal…Is is flawless and without spell check but only when I am over pouring my emotions into it.

Well I know I would like you also. Thank you. I think it is the only compliment I have received since I started posting here. And more power to you Vincent Michael. Sorry Flower.

I feel ya bro...come to NY...we are such dicks here, but at least you are aware of that fact and can act accordingly :-)

>Such drama.

God, if you're into so much emotion and drama about little things now, what will you be in 10 years?<

Probably married (depending on his state of residence)...also probably tempered by time and experience and hopefully just as full of emotion.

When I was 21, I was idealistic, wanted to give my life to a Cause that I believed in and was all about, "To Dream the Impossible Dream"

God help those who were never idealistic in their youth...when else are ya gonna be idealistic ? (thats a rhetorical question)

In 10 years, he'll probably be surrounded with caring friends who appreciate his capacity to love.

Your prospects don't look quite so bright.

Don't we all wish that? :)

But, if everyone was loving and honest, then you would no longer be as special and unique as you are. ;)

As I said in my "Here's A Thought..." post (Politics, Religion and War Issues), individuality is an important tool in the human experience. If everyone was perfect then life would be boring and no one would be able to feel special or unique.

So try not to focus on how two faced others can be. Instead, be self-centered or Centered in Your Self, reallize that other's bad behavior is a tool here for you to better experience the greatest version of the grandest vision you ever held about yourself.

In the darkness the light shines it's brightest. ;)
