I will be brief but I have noticed a HUUUUUUUUGE uptick in the amount of ''Party" calls I am receiving. I absolutely have never partied in my life and have attended literally dozens of drug related funerals. Why is there a stereotype that all male escorts are drug addicts? It simply is not true. This is horrifying. What is worse is all the prescription drugs guys are on. I am noticing that many many clients have lost most of their erectile capability due to the meds they are on for pain, depression, blood pressure or whatever. I realize some drugs are necessary but if I was depressed a little and the pills killed my penis I'd be depressed a lot..........I'm also noticing an addiction to poppers which, according to my MD clients, are one of the most dangerous drugs anyone can ever take. In conclusion I feel the modern society is so self destructive. It is sad......... MIKEY @ www.rentmen.com/magicmikeydc

My guess is you have never suffered from depression.

I don't think people normally go on any kind of medication of they're 'depressed a little'. If there is medication involved there is probably a much more complex reason.

The original topic was about people 'partying'. This is a touchy field to navigate without seeming judgemental. While I am new to this for the most part I do agree - there are quite a few people that advertise PNP. I feel it is a risky road to travel for both client, and escort. I've been sure, regardless of how attractive they are, to avoid them. This is mainly due to the horror stories I've read - I do not have any personal experience in the subject to share.

You've been to over 24 drug-related funerals? I'd say you need to change your cicle of friends.

More likely needs to use literally correctly but nevertheless, one drug death is too many

I dont know where you come up with this stuff you post, but perhaps its based on that little plastic bubble you live in, obviously from where your sampling comes from..Before you make such statements, perhaps you should perform some due diligence and "fact check ? Otherwise your statements come off over-blown and silly.

His only friends are escorts and you know 99.9% of them are nothing but drug addicts with erectile dysfunction, right?

Much as I wish to avoid generalisations, in many large cities excessive recreational drug use is particularly common amongst gay men, and some specific drugs (crystal meth inparticular) are wreaking havoc. That's certainly the case in London, and I'm aware of a few people there who have died from overdose or misadventure while using crystal. I'm finding that in NY I'm asked to 'parTy' a lot.

I'd better copy this before you edit it...

this is self promoting and equally passive-aggressive!

This is how a poster addresses this issue with honesty and without promoting himself while putting others down, take a look!

@escortrod I had to quoted you but this ain't any kind of sarcasm, I'm glad you posted and I wish the OP would start a thread about any issue without the eternal disposition of self-promoting.

no, but he has huge ego and loves to say nice things about himself while mocking "others" who do X, Y, and Z all the time.

I do not know the OP, but I badly needed medication after going through weeks and weeks of deep depression in 1990.

Nothing to be ashamed about it, thank you for posting.

Let's see if Reps now that the meth production and consumption has become a symbol of their counties will do something about it decriminalizing consumers who seek help.

Perhaps rod, but lets not imply that an abusive drug culture is specifically relegated to the gay community. Its pervasive thruout EVERY community, especially upper-class WHITE str8 kids amongst them. Mikey often comes up with outlandish claims and statements to stay relevant and visible on this board, and often his claims have no context of reality, other than to showcase his own agenda and promote his "clean-living, big dicked lifestyle", which he can share with you if you contact him with his credentials which he always provides. His posts would be acceptable if he made it clear he was giving "opinions, not FACTS"..

The demographics are certainly different in the US. In the UK there is a significant problem with drug use amongst gay men that isn't replicated amongst their straight peers. This is easily researched and demonstrated because the NHS can pool and analyse its statistics. Services in the UK have been aware of the problem for some time now, but they're still struggling to tackle it effectively.

In general: Crystal Meth is first and foremost a chemical that brings a euphoric feeling of confidence by removing all emotional insecurities. A powerful anti-depressant, that convinces you of a life more glorious if only for a few hours or a day...depending on the volume and timing of your dosage. Sadly, many gay men still harbor insecurities from hiding their truths from family and friends, fearing negative repercussion for the mere "crime" of being oneself against the harsh judgement of a society and community that may not yet be caught up with progressive norms in big city climates such as New York. It is not unusual for escorts to choose this business as a cure to the bad feelings of family rejection, by enjoying the company of mature adults who DO cherish their company and reward their "good behavior" which is precisely the SAME behavior, that their family condemns. The parallel of the industry to drug use, is of course not as prevalent as Michael is indicating, yet it exists, as it exists throughout the gay community. The addiction to that euphoria and the side effects of frequent use is of growing concern throughout the gay community and increasingly becoming more common in sad, depressed and underpaid, struggling Middle America as marylander points out on the above chart. The common cause is depression, feelings of helplessness and the search for an easy "cure"to those emotions.
