What is the deal with the disappearing negative reviews on Rentmen?

As politely as possible, I asked one escort about a now-deleted negative review on his profile, making sure to mention that I was not necessarily taking the client's opinion as gospel. The escort outright lied and said the bad review had never even existed, even thought I had seen it twice on the same day. I figure if he lied AND deleted a bad review, he possibly wasn't an escort I wanted to hire. I moved on. Like others in these forums have mentioned, I don't consider rentmen reviews to be a fair, complete way to judge an escort's performance.

If the review disappeared, why are you so certain the escort ever saw it, or that he was responsible for its disappearance?

Don't the escorts have control over their own profiles and content? Since negative reviews are the only ones to ever disappear from rentmen, I assumed the escorts were the ones doing the deleting. The bad review had been on his page for a few days, during which time he had logged in. Don't escorts get notifications about such things? Is it possible that he was not notified, never saw the review even though he was logged in, and that the administration deletes negative reviews for their own reasons? I'm really not being snarky, just genuinely curious. Anyway, when I figured that the escort had lied, I did NOT send him any unpleasant message or give him any sort of rebuke. I just moved on to other possible choices.

A previous discussion on this topic. http://www.companyofmen.org/threads/rm-escort-reviews.114678/#post-1101940

My experience is that negative reviews evaporate from RM after a few days.

I received the following responses to a query on this:

Hi xxxx,

We do post non-positive reviews. But when an escort only has 1 or 2 reviews that are not positive, we reject & hold them till more reviews come in. This allows us to make a good judgement of the escorts character. Your info is valuable to us & would be posted when more reviews from other clients come in.

Take Care,

RentMen Rick

That's BS - I've seen plenty of escort profiles with only one negative review. In fact I just saw one minutes after I posted in this thread.

1. The RM administrator indicates that they will allow negative reviews to remain after the escort has received several reviews. Are the 1-star reviews the only reviews for that individual? If so, how long ago were they posted?

2. I have personally tracked 1-star reviews and seen them disappear after a couple of days. One of them was mine, which is what prompted my question to the RM administrator above.

It is possible that RM has changed their policy - I recommend that you send Rick a note and ask him yourself.

So it's the administrators of the site, not the escorts themselves, who delete the negative ads? I had no idea. That makes their entire rating system skewered, pointless, and inaccurate. The rentmen staff is not charged with assessing the escorts' character or behavior; the paying clients, who actually meet and interact with them in person, are. What BS!

Like many people already told here and everywhere, Rentboy.com was shut down in fact ONLY because they did not agree to provide all the info they collected about the escorts and the costumers to Feds. Rentmen did the opposite thing. They agreed to deal with as the U.S./Canadian Feds as with Euro ones becoming the most rich and powerful escort portal in the world ever. Then they forced the guys to provide more info to them and they keep negative reviews on only for the guys who haven't provided to them as much info as they only can collect (ID copies, selfies with "Rentmen" papers, filled up self identification forms, other evidence) However the reviews option on the site was created mostly to attract more clients who will likely provide to the site their cell numbers for posting reviews or even their cc infos. So be very-very careful using that site. Or they or the Feds will use you sooner or later.
